Benefit's Double the Lip on my Lips!

I remember the 90s where Lipliner + Lipstick combination is the key to COOLNESS!  Some of you were probably babies or toddlers by then, as for me, I was in highschool clueless and staying away from this trend because my mom may strangle me!

Fast forward to today, who would've thought this trend would return and best of all?  Application is as easy as ONE swipe and you do not need 2 products to achieve such trend!

According to Benefit, this new lip product will give you Full Lips that Keep It Real - meaning, you still look like yourself, not like a lip-injected individual!

It was launched months ago but I finally got my hands on 6 shades (I believe there were a total of 8) and I'm BEYOND happy!

This lip liner & lipstick in one features a Custom Teardrop Tip that grabs and defines your lip line and fills in lips with complementing colour for the appearance of volume and dimension. This semi-matte lipstick comes in neutral to bright shades for visibly fuller, sexier lips.

Same packaging as They're Real Mascara which I like because it is cute and very unique!

Twist-up tube that takes time getting used to!  Why?  Because you twist only the small bottom portion of the packaging instead of twisting "half" of the container like most lipstick packaging.

The uniqueness does not stop right there.  The shape of the lipstick is a custom teardrop tip where the pointed tip is the "liner" while the rounded bottom is your "lipstick".

Swatches

Some of the color differences between the "liner" and the "lipstick" is obvious while some are almost the same which I barely see a difference on swatch! (Ex. Fuchsia Fever)

Not a bad thing though as I believe the brighter and darker shades shouldn't have obvious difference because I wouldn't want to appear too 90's!  With the obvious lipliner demarcation, it's not a good look I tell you!

AMW Wears Criminally Coral

Looks nude on me because I have heavily pigmented lips.  This color helps blur out some uneven darkness of my lips thus looking like a great MLBB shade!

AMW Wears Flame Game

Fiery orange red shade which....translates to...NOT MY COLOR because of the orange tint!  I find this to be bright and would work better on users with medium to darker complexion!

AMW Wears Pink Thrills

As the name states, if you are into pink lip color, this shade will give you that girly pink thrill!  A medium rose pink shade that actually looks good on both users with warm and cool undertone.

AMW Wears Fuchsia Fever

A deeper, more electric pink in my opinion.  The swatch looks like both the liner and lipstick shade looks the same, but I find the difference to be much more obvious when applied on my lips!  I guess the uneven shade of my lips help make the liner color appear deeper!  This is a type of Pink that would work well for ALL ages.

AMW Wears Lusty Rose

This is a neutral rose lip color that looks natural and perfect for daytime wear!  This particular combination gives my lips the nice contour and highlight!  It's just an instant face brightener for me!

AMW Wears Nude Scandal

Nothing scancalous about this shade as this is the lightest and most natural out of the 6 I own.  With a pink nude undertone, this is a great NUDE lip color if you are looking for one from the brand!  Another combination that gives the nice contour on my lips making my lips appear healthy.

Overall, I am happy with all the color combination because they all work!  I know this is mean to be a quick and easy product to use but I have to be honest in saying, it does take a bit of practice and time in getting used to!  Mind you, as much as I love the packaging, I find it difficult to make the product stand thus accidents happen so many times I dented a lot of them!

Now on to the reason why they are amazing!  Well, for one, the formulation is extremely creamy and easy to work with even with very dry lips!  They may not last as long as the whole day but they do last longer than regular lipsticks!  All the colors I own and used are highly pigmented and can cover the dark pigmentation of my lips thus the color of my lips appear more beautiful and even!  The feel of all shades are lightweight and gives off a satin smooth finish!  All colors give a lovely sheen thus lips appear healthier (than not!) 

Now, you have to watch out for the disappearing act of the lip color!  The lipstick portion disappears first thus you will be left with a stronger liner shade so you have to tote them along for retouch!
