Every time you mention the brand Guerlain, the next name that would come next to the brand will always be --- Meteorites.
As much as they are so nice to look at, it is such a tedious task to tote it around because of the bulky packaging PLUS the balls may just scatter inside your bag making it a bag mess! So my Guerlain Meteorites stay on top of my dresser table for a year now!
Thankfully, after so many years, under the Spring 2018 collection, Guerlain finally came up with a "pressed" version of my favorite luminizer! And to make it even cuter, this product is inspired by the V-shape face which our Asian Counterparts love (the Koreans).
I obviously do not have a V-shape face (it's rounder than round my friends!) But I enjoyed using this product nevertheless.
The compact itself is so cute, round metallic compact with baby pink print as cover, I love the small hearts printed to form a big heart shape! This packaging gives me the younger-looking vibe as opposed to the classy vibe of most Guerlain product packaging.
Of course, as to any Guerlain product, you get a velvet pouch to protect the product if you plan to tote this along for travel.
No-to scratch!
Guerlain says ---
In a single compact, three contrasting shades of powder – two blushes and one highlighter – come together to luminously sculpt the complexion and redefine the facial contours into a heart shape.
A dark pink shade to bring out the cheekbones, an iridescent pink shade applied to the hairline, and a pearly beige tone to refine the nose and highlight lips.
Météorites Heart Shape’s impalpable, lightweight texture becomes one with skin, leaving a rosy, glowing complexion all day long.
Why is this product called heart-shape when the palette doesn't have any "hearts" on it aside from the cover?
Trust me, I asked the same question to the SA and learned that the heart-shape is equivalent to the V-shape face that we are aiming for. How to do so?
The tip is to apply layer per layer, you don't see much difference as the effect is very subtle - very Guerlain-like.
Use the iridescent pale pink (upper right hand shade) to apply areas of your face that you want to be highlighted.
As for the lower portion, the pearly beige color is to be apply to the bridge of the nose and my chin to highlight the area making it appear more prominent.
I personally think this is a very subtle strobing and luminizer palette, as for blush the color does not show up as much so several application is needed.
I personally think this compact is perfect for girls who already have gorgeous skin who likes to highlight key areas of their face without looking like they have makeup on (translation: faking that glow!)
BUT, if you are like me who have sallow-looking skin, I like to apply makeup like I usually do and use this as a "setting powder" instead to enhance the colors used underneath, to blur out harsh makeup lines from contouring and highlighting. This is my trick why I'm loving this Heart Shape Palette more than the regular Météorites.
Do you own a Guerlain Météorites?
If not, will you go for the Heart Shape Compact?
Guerlain Météorites Heart Shape Palette is available at Rustans Beauty Source price around Php2,500-Php3,000 (sorry forgot the exact price)
