Cathy Doll Skinny Eyebrow Pencil Review

Forgive my brows as they were on Holiday for the past weeks, was so busy taking care my dad, my son, my family while working so I actually tried to schedule brow waxing session but it never happened!

Back to my brow stories, I am still thankful I can still find ways to jazz it up on days I need to go out!  Can you see my one-filled brow versus the bare brow on the photo below?

Will you believe me when I say I can do 1 brow for 1 minute (or less) and the other one so just 2 minutes flat for both eyes to achieve #kilayisLife ?

Well, not saying I found a magical tool, but I could almost call it magical because it is one of the easiest brow pencil I've used and tried!

The Cathy Doll Skinny Brow Pencil

This is skinny OVERALL, from the pencil packaging down to the spoolie and retractable pencil!  There's obviously a positive and negative point on that, I'll deal with that later!  Let's check out the specs for now.

The box is the same shade as the brow pencil shade.  I got mine is 06 Coffee Brown so I assume they have a couple of shades to choose from!

Note from AMW: Okay, I can't help it, I checked online and there are total of 8 shades in Thailand  Soft Gray, Dark Brown, Light Chocolate, Cherry Brown, Mahogany, Coffee Brown, Chestnut Brown and Caramel.  I do not know how many shades Cathy Doll Philippines is bringing in.  But I'm happy with Coffee Brown as it is universally flattering.

Closer look on the skinny spoolie and super skinny pencil!

Swatch: 06 Coffee Brown
You get this kind of pigmentation in a single stroke.

Because the pencil is so skinny, I like how I can easily draw and mimic eyebrow hairs.  I can fill up gaps so easily it's like dancing while I draw!

Don't ever forget to use the spoolie to "blur out" harsh edges and the effect will be more natural.

Before and After

AMW says ---

  • Pigmentation is really good.
  • Shade is perfect match for most Filipinas.
  • Can give a "microbladed" brows effect.  I love this!
  • The pencil liner stays until makeup removal because I have normal/dry skin type.  If you have oily skin, best to pat with oil-control translucent powder the brow area before application.
  • The downside?  Since the pencil is so slim, I used half of the pencil already in just a week!  (Guys I have thick brows din kasi!)
  • And since the pencil itself (packaging) is very slim, I find it a bit difficult to look for this product in my sea of "pencils".
  • Effect of the drawn brows look very natural.  This is a perfect pencil for first-timers too!  But don't worry, even professionals will like this!
  • I personally prefer this over Cathy Doll Sexy Eyebrow Pencil!

What's your take on the newest eyebrow pencil from Cathy Doll?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  2. MAC has skinny brow pencils too and I'm glad that cathy doll offered a cheaper version.
