Do you still remember my review of Cathy Doll Realbrow 4D Tattoo Tint last year?
But don't worry, as similar as they are in packaging and applicator, the similarities stopped there as Maybelline came up with their own version of "Shades for Filipinas". I love the Cathy Doll Realbrow 4D Tattoo Tint but I'm happy to expand my collection with more shade choices!
Maybelline Tattoo Brow Ink Pen
Php399.00
There are a total of 3 shades to choose from - Gray Brown, Red Brown and Natural Brown. I like it that their shade choices covers almost all brow hair color that most Filipinas have.
Gray Brown would be perfect for those who have Ash tone hair, red brown for those who colored their hair red while Natural Brown would be perfect for those with light brown, medium brown hairs!
Packaging
The packaging itself doesn't have the shade names printed, all I can do is guess by looking at the cap! It is confusing on my part since I own all 3 shades! So it's time to label them especially if I plan to use them on my gigs because they are actually PRO quality!

Application technique
I like to start applying from the inner corner of my brows mimicking the same direction as the growth of brow hairs. So upwards on inner corner and going sideward once I reach from the center to the tip of the brows.
The product is "liquid" or watery in texture so you don't get "instant" color in a single swipe. BUT, be careful not to apply too much, just apply layer after layer, step back, check your reflection before you re-apply again.
Because the consistency of the product is a bit too thin, it is easy to over-apply.

See how natural the effect was?
But keep in mind if you want to tint your brow hairs, you have to use a separate brow mascara for it as this only gets into the "skin" and not tint your existing brow hairs.Overall, they tend to Scatter a bit on skin so try not to apply too much. Once set, it can last the whole day until makeup removal with minimal fading on some areas that tend to perspire or oil up.
For the price, it is worth the purchase and I love that this can fill up brows in a very natural manner. This product is also perfect for those who have sparse brows and needed a bit of filling!
Have you tried Maybelline Tattoo Brow Ink Pen?
Will you go through Micro-blading or just prefer to draw your own brows using product as such?
