When Kate Tokyo launched their The Base Zero line, I tested the first product I wanted to try first and it got thumbs up from me --- Kate Tokyo The Base Zero Secret Skin  Maker Zero Powder Foundation and the next product I wanted to test is their Liquid Foundation and I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on this!

KATE's newly developed foundation, THE BASE ZERO covers all problematic areas in one coat.It blends right into skin and all heaviness  disappears.
The secret is... a high coverage & smooth formulation.Ingredients that offer high coverage, while easily sliding onto skin, minimize the coverage layer as much as possible.  The results is a finish with no heaviness.

Now, let's talk about how this product works for me, you all know how much I love natural, seamless foundation and don't forget that lightweight-feel and glow I crave for.  Did this foundation passed my standards?

I like to apply several small dots all over my face with my finger.  After constant trials and errors, I've found the best tool to use the blend the Kate Secret Skin Maker Foundation is with a Beauty Blender (damp for less coverage, dry for more coverage).

Since the foundation has a tendency to look streaky if not blended properly, a sponge is definitely a way to go (personal preference).

Here's the deal, the foundation gives light medium to medium coverage and I an actually skip concealer on some days!  I like how it highlights my whole face giving me a fresh-looking glow.  As for the shade, it looks a bit light on me on first few minutes after application, giving it a bit of time, the product settles pretty well and looks more natural than ever.

I have normal/dry skin, I can actually use this alone because the product sets off matte, if you have oily skin, I highly recommend you to set it with powder just to make sure.

Important note, if you have dry patches, it is best to moisturize the area properly as the foundation may leave a dry mark midday!  I missed applying moisturizer one day as I used this foundation and saw dry patches coming through on the sides of my nose and cheeks.  With a bit of water mist, everything went well!

I personally think if you are the type of person who loves to use Liquid Foundation on a daily basis, you may look into this as it feels light on skin and I don't suffer any negative skin reactions so far!
