The Body Shop Matte Clay Powder Full Coverage Pressed Powder Review

I'm a face powder girl, correct that...I'm a powder foundation girl!  I only reach out for cream/liquid foundations or even cushions when I am off to an event or meeting.  But on days I only need to run some errands I go for powdered base products.

I recently tried The Body Shop's Matte Clay Powder Full Coverage Pressed Powder.  This is a bit unique for me as full coverage in my opinion always equates to powder foundation while sheer will always be the partner of pressed powders.

So this is unique, it does look like a regular pressed powder so how full is full coverage as described by the brand?

AMW says ---

Pros
  • 100% vegan.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Gives a nice coverage, it does cover skin imperfections.  Certain amount of darkness and redness.  Can even out some of the pimple marks.
  • Matte finish yet non-drying.
  • Lightweight.
  • Lasts for approximately 3 hours for oily skin before retouching is needed,  For users who have normal/dry skin like I do, I can get away the whole day without retouch!
  • A little goes a long way.
  • The pressed powder is pressed pretty well as the powder pigments do not fly away whenever I use it.
Cons
  • No mirror or sponge.  You will need to bring a separate brush or sponge for retouch.

Overall
A great pressed powder to tote along for travel.  It gives decent amount of coverage and I can actually get away without using concealer.  Also great for users with sensitive skin.

Tips
  • Do not drop the compact.
  • Use a sponge for fuller coverage.  To set or retouch, a brush is much better.
  • On days I forgot to bring my makeup tools, I can actually retouch and apply using clean and santized fingers!
  • Check out counters for shade matching.  Ask help from SAs.
  • For fuller coverage, best used together with Matte Clay Skin Clearing Foundation.
  • If you want to spot conceal, I love the Matte Clay Full Coverage Concealer.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Everyone!

Where to purchase and how much?
At The Body Shop stores priced at Php695.00.

Swatch : Japanese Maple
It is a perfect shade with yellow undertone for me.  Works for medium fair to medium complexion.

I like to use a flat top kabuki brush for application.  I use dabbing motion on areas of my face that needed more coverage and gently swipe and buff on areas that don't need much.

After:
I love how I can still see my skin.  The coverage is great and my skin looks even.  I love how it gives a certain glow too!
