I have tried Colour Pop Liquid Lipsticks in the past when liquid lipsticks were just coming through. I remember wanting them so badly so I opt to order online. Yes literally online from their US Website and had to wait for eons to try it.
Fast forward to a couple of brands both locally and internationally coming up with their own line of liquid lipsticks, I almost forgot about Colour Pop until I chanced upon an Instagram shop called Little Miss Shopper MNL. This shop carries brands like Glossier, The Ordinary, Tarte, Aesop and so much more! What I love about this shop is that they also ventured into personal shopping and offers that as part of their service - check them out on IG Stories - I am ooh-ing and aah-ing over their shopping finds!
Now back to my reunion with the brand Colour Pop, I finally tried their Ultra Satin Lip from their collaboration with iluvsarahii !
Colour Pop iluvsarahii Ultra Satin Lip ---
Ultra Matte Lip This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving SUPER intense pigment with a bold, ultra-matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring!
Ingredients: Isododecane, Alumina, Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Nylon-12, Silica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Carmine (CI 75470), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140).
Housed in the same packaging as their previous shades, it has an imprint of the collaborator right on the packaging itself which is quite simple yet really nice.
The shade is in "NUDES". I believe she also has one in a simple name called "REDS". Yes, the names aren't fancy but let's talk about the product itself.
The doe-foot applicator is a bit shorter than the other brands I've tried. I love the fluffy applicator making it easy to work with even on small lips.
Swatch: Looking through the box, I don't see any shade names printed even beneath the packaging, it just says 951 which I assume is the "color number". I had to search online and found the shade be called NUDES.
True enough this shade is quite flattering on me. This is literally my lip color but better.
Now let's talk about the texture and consistency. The texture is smooth and easy to apply. In just a single swipe, you get a true tube-to-lips color! I love how it applies smoothly like a moisturizing lip balm yet giving it a couple of minutes after, it sets into a matte finish.
Why Ultra Satin you say if it has a matte finish? Thankfully, the iluvsarahii Liquid Lipstick looks healthy on my uber dry lips. It does feel matte and tight but looking at my lips, it doesn't look dry or dehydrated at all making it a nice natural-looking lip color for daily use!
BUT, since my lips are extremely dry, I find myself applicating lip balm in between the day, better yet, best to prep your lips by exfoliating it once a week and apply heavy lip balm every night before you sleep.
As for longevity, this lipcolor lasts me approximately half a day with eating and drinking, the center of my lips fade faster than the rest of the area.
Overall, this is a great lip color to try if you wanted something long-wearing, smudge-proof and works for most Filipinas!
