The Body Shop Fresh Nude Tinted Beauty Balm Review

I don't know about you but I've changed so much in terms of putting on (or not putting on) makeup.  I guess it is indeed the age, I put more skincare products rather than makeup nowadays!  If not only because for the fact that I need to review makeup products, you'll probably see me strutting along Makati, BGC or Ortigas without makeup on!

Thankfully, brands like The Body Shop is making "my transition" easy.  They also came out with a smart new product from their Fresh Nude line called The Body Shop Fresh Nude Tinted Beauty Balm!

Can you believe I am actually wearing something in this photo?  JUST ONE PRODUCT!  The Tinted Beauty Balm!

I got the shade 01 Fair
I find this to be a bit too light for me at a glance but I was surprised how this actually works for me!

Swatch:
This is quite sheer and very easy to blend!

I like to treat this as a tinted moisturizer and apply this with clean fingers!

Before and After

Initial use, I find this product to be super easy to use even for first time makeup wearers.  You don't have to worry were to apply but just apply a few amount all over the face and gently blend.  Once blended, you can reapply areas that needed a bit more "even tone" or even color and blend more!

The Body Shop Fresh Nude Tinted Beauty Balm gives off a fresh effect.  I love how it doesn't have much "coverage" yet it magically evens out my skin covering some redness and blurs out some darkness especially around the undereye area!  When you look at the before and after (unedited) photo, it just have that extra "oomph" and glow from within that made me reach out for this a lot!

I would say this product is close to Pixi H2O Skintint Tinted Face Gel, both have that same lightweight feel but the difference I can share right now is that the Body Shop has more glow to it!  I guess the extra SPF does help in creating that inner glow.  And thankfully, true to what the brand promises, there is no white cast even on direct flash photography!  I was a bit scared as the shade is a shade or 2 lighter than my complexion, but it melts just right into my skin and looks very natural after several minutes after application.

Will I recommend this to you guys?  Definitely!  But for someone who just like a glowing base without much coverage, go for this!  You can always follow up with a concealer and I highly recommend The Body Shop Matte Clay Full Coverage Concealer if you want something from the same store!

How do you like my before and after?
Would you purchase such product?
