My Initial Thoughts on Maybelline Sensational Liquid Matte Lip & Cheek Tints + Follow Up

I did an Unboxing on the newest Maybelline Sensational Liquid Matte lip & Cheek Tints and since I have a very busy schedule and I want you guys to see what the buzz is all about fast!  I re-uploaded my #AMWIGstories on my unboxing and I will follow up with my thoughts on these new products!

I've said it on video and I will mention it again, as much as it is tempting to compare these to the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink, I won't because they are different like cousins!  If you ask me in a whim, I'll still pick the latter because for so many reasons!  But let's talk about the Sensational Liquid mattes first before I talk about other stuff!

Maybelline says ---
The Sensational Liquid Matte Lip Tint is formulated with a powder technology for a weightless wear and packed with pigments for intense color.  Available in 10 Soft Matte Shades (but only 6 are released even at LazMall as of the moment!)



AMW says ---

• Great packaging.  The packaging is just amazing and easy-to-use. 
• Multi-purpose, can be used on lips and cheeks even on eyes (as long as you like the color!)
• Extremely lightweight, almost powder-like once dried.
• Shade choices are very nice!  Very flattering for most Filipinas.
• Long-wearing but not as long-lasting as that of the Super Stay Matte Ink.
• On the con side, it is drying especially for my lips!  I find that I have to apply and reapply lip balm or lip moisturizer midday as I can literally see and feel some drying and tightening effect.  Super Stay Matte Ink is drying too but this felt drier for me (IMHO)
• Price points - THUMBS UP!
• Pigmentation is really good and you get true color from tube to lips.
• Used as cheek tints, you need to work pretty fast as the product dries up pretty quickly.  For users with dry skin, I like to mix a bit of liquid foundation to make the product more emollient and easier to blend!

Overall, I am VERY happy with this collection. Though it dried up my lips, I don't mind using them still as the color selections are great!  I also love the lightweight feel and as for the drying feel, others don't get bothered by it!
