Weekend Food Trip at: 26th St. Bistro

It was last year we enjoyed a sumptuous meal at 26th St. Bistro after attending an event nearby.
After a year, I've decided, why not go back and enjoy yet another wonderful meal with the family?  Yes, I've dined there a couple of times alone so going out of the way on a Saturday night is something I'm looking forward to!  Because our family is simple --- we just love to spend time with each other, share stories, have fun and eat good food!

It is all possible at the 26th St. Bistro!

If the look of coffee and plating looks familiar, well, it should be!  26th St. Bistro is not just a CBTL branch, it is a concept store that serves good food, drinks, desserts and a very spacious and comfortable place to sit back and relax.

Whenever I visit the 26th St. Bistro (mostly alone for meetings), I have this default order ---

Parmesan Truffle Fries
Php255.00
The parmesan cheese gave a unique kick to the usual Truffle Fries, it has a nice "rock-salt" like texture that melts on every single bite!  And of course, it has the right hint of Truffle taste that smells and tastes oh-so-divine.

Bacon and Eggs
Php345.00
Kyle loves his bacon so I am happy they finally have a bacon dish to offer!

Herb-Crusted Salmon with Lemon Risotto
Php585.00

Mr. AMW had this last year, even after a year, he can still remember the exact taste and sensation of every single bite so we went for this without much hesitation!

Pan-roasted Norweigian salmon topped with hollandaise sauce.

Then we asked the server to recommend us the newer dishes that are must-try!

Beef Sisig
Php375.00
I find this to be really unique because we all know PORK sisig right?  This has a bit of an oilier and smoother texture, this is a very uniquely created dish with the added "chicharon" which makes this dish more exciting!

I persoally prefer Pork Sisig but if you are up for something new for the palate, go for this!

Classic Carbonara
Php345.00
Who can say no to a Classic Carbonara?  This dish is extremely creamy - all thanks to the hefty serving of cream sauce and melted cheese.  Topped with bacon and poached egg!

And please, don't miss that crunchy toast that comes with the pasta!

Asian Sweet Chili Chicken
Php295.00
This dish is spicy in my dictionary!  I love the crispy chicken tenders with the sweet chili sauce that bursts in your mouth on every bite!  I can't eat more than 1 though as I have low tolerance for spicy food!

Beef Belly Adobo with Coconut Cream
Php545.00
A unique fusion of different culture!  That's how I feel when I tasted this unique twist on the usual Adobo dish!

Slow-roasted USDA beef belly braised in vinegar soy sauce, garlic and peppercorn, simmered in coconut cream - the cream is just right and not overpowering to the whole Adobo dish!  I also like the fact that the beef melts in your mouth from tenderness.

And to cap off the night, there's always room for Margarita!

Kyle, stick to your carbonara (after bacon) and your dad and I will enjoy just a glass of margarita! :)
