Ever since the rebirth of matte lipsticks, we "almost" never looked book.
How did I even dare say that? Well, how many years have I been swatching and trying out on various matte lipsticks? SO MANY TIMES! If you don't believe me, click HERE.
But thankfully, the lipstick goddesses are nice to me, brands are starting to care for users with extreme dry lip condition so they are creating matte lipsticks that can be applied smoothly on dry, dehydrated lips and the best part? They got all the benefits of what matte lipsticks can offer - pigmentation, long-wearability and a whole gorgeous shades for me to play around!
L'Oreal Color Riche Mattes are no exception. This brand, together with sister brand Maybelline has always been creating inexpensive matte lipsticks that can be worn without lip discrimination!
They revamped and repackaged their line and created the Blooming Kiss collection. I am unsure if they added new, unique shades for this particular line but most shades I've seen in the past.
I Lead
My favorite shade from the bunch. It isn't the Neutral color and it has more brownish red tone to it giving my face a full makeover minus the makeup!
No Range
Is a girl-next-door shade. I look so cheerful, kind and can pass up as Ms. Goody-Two-shoes don't you think?
Rouge Label
If No Range calls for Goody-Two-Shoes, this calls for Mysterious Vixen. I can never be called a Vixen due to my crazy childish attitude but if I want to be a faker, I'll pick this lip color!
Modern Rose
Modern Rose is a medium berry shade that look so nice when you want to brighten up your look. If you don't like the reddish tint, you can do a dabbing motion and this will be a perfect gradient lip color.
Fierce Lips
Fierce lips was supposed to look fierce on girls with light pigmented lips but this looks so natural on me! My original lips have darker pigmentation and this color somewhat blends in so well creating a natural brownish red tone.
Bitter Nuance
This shade won the hearts of many when it was made available. I guess I was the only one who didn't really appreciate this shade as this goes far from my personality. I mean I can only fake it until a certain point right?
No offense to Bitter Nuance lovers, this is just my own preference of not being able to make a dark lip color like this work on my smiling face :P
