AboutFace Cosmetics Review

A new makeup brand landed on my desk a few weeks back!  I immediately tried it and found these promising! 

A brand called AboutFace.  

The brand was launched last June 2019 and is a new entry in the makeup world but I find their products to be packaged simply yet with quality.  I also like how straightforward and easy-to-understand these products are.  Based from research, AboutFace Cosmetics are manufactured in Japan and Korea.  The products are said to be gentle enough to be used daily.

Top to Bottom:

Matte: finishes off super matte and is formulated to control oil in the skin.  I did not try to use this as I hae normal/dry skin but based from swatch, I can see that it does the job mattifying the area applied and you an definitely see it as shine-free.

Nourishing: Has hyaluronic acid as main ingredient thus making this a tinted moisturizer with better coverage.  It does have that “plump” skin effect upon application but I find myself setting my makeup with powder more because it is hydrating to the point of looking oily.

Balancing: this is formulated for those who have acne-prone or sensitive skin.  This is actually my favorite out of the 3 as it is a balance between matte and nourishing.  

All 3 products have weightless-feel but I find the need to set them properly as I find them to slide especially on the sides of my nose and undereye area.  Coverage is buildable from light medium to medium heavy.  This is promising considering the price and effect.

A super unique lip product that can transform any cream-based lipstick to velvety matte finish.  This is actually an answered prayer for dry lip gals who wanted to sport matte lipsticks but the dry lines would stop us from doing so.  This hydrates and mattifies at the same time making it a very unique and MUST-try product from the brand IMHO.

These are straightforward lip crayongs that are housed in jumbo crayon like packaging.  They are rich in color and texture is super good!
