Cathy Doll Glow Gel Tint Review

Bringing you a big smile to start the week!  It was a restful (uhm. Not so) weekend!  I was busy watching random Korean Variety shows until wee hours of the night!  Ahhh the joy of motherhood!  You find solace at night when your kid is sleeping!  Hahaha Can anyone relate?

So few weeks ago, on my Instagram page, I shared a look with gradient lips, an easy way to create gradient lips with Cathy Doll Glow Gel Tints!  I got 3 shades so I used them all, but you know you don’t need to use all 3 right?

02 Peach Kiss

This is really peach and would appear bright if you have light colored lips!  My lips are originall pigmented so it turned out a bit deep!  I prefer to use this as base if I want gradient lips, I can wear this on its’ own and I like the youthful vibe it gives.

06 Like Brick

Like Brick is a deep red shade with orange undertone.  It is not for the faint hearted if you plan to apply this fully on your lips.

07 Wonder Red

Wonder Red is a deep blue-tone red.  A favorite type of red!

So here’s the major question, how does this work?  Is it good enough? Does it last long?  How does it fair if you wear a face mask?

Obviously I will answer them all!

The Cathy Doll Glow Gel Tints are highly pigmented.  You don’t get a faint shade of color, you get opague straight-from-tube-to-lips shade!  For someone with dry lips, I find these tints to be cooling and hydrating - not hydrating enough to serve as your lip balm/moisturizer but hydrating enough to be worn on its’ own!  They all give a glossy shine/finish but…the product gets absorbed into your lips within 5 minutes and you are left with a nice glowing color (just like on my last photo).  

Let’s talk about wearing these under a mask, THEY WILL TRANSFER..they were not advertised as smudge-proof so it is understandable.  I have a tip though, set with a loose setting powder after every application before wearing mask!  It will have less transfer and the lip color would last longer!

Cathy Doll Philippines  noted these products to have MELON scent, they do!  And these are quite strong! I personally dislike scented lip products but it won’t bother you several minutes after application!  I just wish they would tone down the fragrance but that is just my personal preference!  

Good quality tints and you get your money’s worth for the affordable price yet quality products!
