3CE Velvet Lip Tint in Daffodil Review

Have you been seeing a lot of 3CE raves on all social media platforms?

I have seen a lot!  On Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube!  I mean what’s so unique about them?  I have used and tried so many lip products and things are getting better even for drugstore brands like Maybelline - they are lightweight and long-lasting and transfer-proof!  What’s there to love more for brands like 3CE?

To try is to believe!

After getting my own 3CE Velvet Lip Tint locally from BeautyScout.ph , super floored!

Housed in a nice packaging with the same shade as that of the lip color!  I like the doe-foot applicator and how easy this is to spot in my dresser!  The shade I got Daffodil is close to Brownish red on a warmer side.  Some call this dirty red —- RED + BROWN (kind of soil-like).  I like this shade!  You pick this shade if you cannot invest on a bright red lip color but you want to stand out in the most subtle way possible!

If you like to stand out on parties (if parties are back!). This may not be your choice of shade as there are other brighter shades available in the Velvet Lip Tint Line.

Applied 1 layer on my already-pigmented lips, itt looks really nice on me (in my humble opinion).  I felt like it enhances my original lip color adding depth and definition.  The applicator is easy to use and I don’t need to use lipliner as I can use the tip of the applicator in lining the outline of my lips.

As for the texture, this is what made 3CE Unique from ther brands I tried.  It felt like applying very light “putty” - yes the putty that kids play, the fluffy kind!  I apologize for using that as comparison because —- MOM HERE! :P

But seriously, If I knew how cloud would feel like, I would say this is the closest!  It is a liquid lipstick minus the watery texture, it is also a cream type lipstick minus the heavy feel.  And even for someone with dry lips (I just don’t know how many times I’ve repeated myself in a span of 14 years but this is to benefit the new readers!), back to dry lips, my lips stayed hydrated and it did not crack or feather for the whole duration of wearing this product.

How long does it stay on my lips?  Well, Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink still won in that department, BUT, the comfort feel? I don’t mind a bit of disappearing act or movement/transfer from lips to my face mask and re-apply because it just felt so good!

So yes, it is pricey compared to other drugstore brands but if you have extremely dry lips like I do and dislike the heavy feel of wearing lipsticks?  Go for this!

How do you like the shade Daffodil on me?
I am looking forward to try other shades!

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
