Red Rose

Joanne, thanks for the red rose

Red rose has number of thorns in it, when it pinches your fingers it hurts. Everyday in my life is just like red roses. Sometimes life is not always a bed of roses, but life is great with GOD.

I am sending this wonderful red rose to all my readers...thanks so much for reading my blog and visiting! :) *hugs*

Askmewhats Reviews: Revlon Sugar Sugar

** available at all beauty stores for approx Php950.00 (approx USD20.00)

Revlon Sugar Sugar was said to be part of the "limited" edition (as I was told) but it has been a year now and I can still see this available in all Revlon counters.

Revlon Sugar Sugar Lip Topping Says ---

Sugary, iridescent pearl powder topcoat decorates lips with a crystal-cut faceted effect.

Askmewhats says ---

Let me show you through pictures first, here's how the whole thing looks like.
The applicator is hard (not brush type) as shown picture below

Here's my hand as swatch, left side is a clear gloss and the right side is clear gloss topped with the Revlon Sugar Sugar lip topping (yes, it literally looks like sugar, the texture is the same as salt though...no taste)

Here's my lips, with colored gloss...

And here's the same gloss as above topped with Revlon Sugar Sugar lip topping

Pros
  • this product is indeed good for glosses, when topped, it is more glittery
  • can stick to all kinds of lip products (lipstick, lipgloss, lip balms, etc...)
  • you can change the look of any lip color you have on

Cons
  • the packaging is cute but it's not feasible to bring along
  • the applicator is hard to apply, you have to clean it after every application (Note: dip, apply, clean, dip, apply, clean again....)
  • for dry lips individual, this may not be that suitable for you, as it'll help FLAKE your lips more
  • Pricey!

Tip
There's one tip in using this, after you apply the Sugar Sugar lip topping, top it again with a clear gloss and you'll definitely have this "iridescent" effect as promised.

Will I repurchase?
No, as this li'l bottle can last for a long long time.

Weekend Food Tripping: Recipes

Me and my wonderful husband, Keith was game for a nice walk and shopping at the Robinson's Place Manila Midtown Ermita. It was dinner time and the food lover (aside from Make-up addict) in me wanted to try something again. We have had our times at the Recipes for 3 times now but we wanted to give other food a chance. Here's what we had...not much, but we went home happy :)

** Seafood Rice for Php 110.00

**Chicken Curry for Php 175.00 (boneless)

** Lechon Kawali with Kangkong leaves for Php 200.00

It's all good food. We enjoyed it and the servings are perfect for twos. We will definitely come back and give their other food choices a try.

Something to look out for if you want to drop by at this place ---

1. Gising-gising (vegetable dish with coconut milk)
2. Crispy tilapia (fried boneless fish)
3. General's chicken (an old time favorite of people who comes back, crispy boneless chicken)

How's your weekend?

Reader's Corner: Bench Pure Mist Facial Water

Chloe the wonderfully Stylishmomy and totallymomy who loves her boys..asked me about the ingredients of my previous post about the Bench Pure Mist... to view previous post

Smile Smile!

Let me type in what it was written at the back of the tin can

A botanical enriched moisturizing mist formulated to relax and soothe skin instantly.

Combination of moisturizing actives and wheat extract effectively hydrate skin

Dermatologically tested to be mild and gentle on the skin.

Directions: Hold can at about 6 inches away from the face. Close eyes. Spray to keep face fresh, moisturized and clean.

Ingredients:
Deionized water. Chamomile extract. German chamomile extract. Lime tree exract. Marigold exrat. St. John's wort extract. Sodium Lactate. Lactic cid. Glycerine. Serine. Sortitol. TEA lactate lauryldiethyleneaminoglycine. Lauryl Aminopropylglycine. Allantoin.

Chloe dear, to answer your question, I would say it is NOT mainly used to set the whole make up, it's ideally used to hydrate and moisturize your face before we put on make up. It would be nice to use to set the whole look as well. But of course, with its ingredients, although you've seen above that it's mostly from an extract, I still strongly suggest to always test on the product first on a small area, before you totally use it. I myself did the test to myself and so far..its ok for me.

A tip, refresh your face by putting it on the fridge before using it, great especially for summer season and so far, it really helps on make-up application for both oily and dry skinned individuals. Yes, I've used this for oily skinned gals, and it works well, as the oil was wiped out before the make-up application itself.

Hope this helps.
