Reader's Corner: How to Iron Your Own Hair

When I did a review on my newly purchased flat iron
Prettybeautiful commented and wondered how to get around using this on your own as she seems to miss the back part.
Again, I am no expert on this but I am sharing "my way" on ironing my own hair.
Feel free to share yours!

Step 1: I create a "half" ponytail

Step 2: Clip it using any clip you're comfortable with

Step 3: Section your hair into 3 parts (Left, Middle, Right)

Step 4: Start with the middle section, start ironing your hair starting near the roots downwards

Step 5: You can go back from the top again, this time with a comb, so you won't burn your fingers

Step 6: Move to the left section of your hair, then right section (not shown on pix), repeat steps 4-5.

Steps 7-8: Let loose the clip, let loose some hair (not too thick) and repeat Steps 3-6 until your reach the top

Hope this is helpful!
That's all I can share for now.
Stay tune for more helpful tips from your smiley Askmewhats!
Ciao!

Askmewhats' Meez Avatar

This is for Spankedelic.

Does she look like me? I don't think so! LOL I tried my very best to find this polka dot green blouse! LOL and the bangs!!! it's not the same direction! lol

But I did my best!!! She's the closest I believe!

Hair Manicure....What????!!!???

I have heard about manicure, pedicures...whatever cure! But I was never familiarized with the term hair manicure!

I seldom go to the salon to have my hair done, I would probably go to a salon just for a quick hair cut/trim. I think I have been complaining so much about being tired and wanting to relax. I honestly did! I had a good massage with my mom on Friday night and I can't help but want to complete the "relaxation" process. This time I wanted to pamper not only my body, but my hair! I've been doing a self-pamper for months now and I think it's time I sit back and relax and let the professionals do it!

I had my hair done at the Korean Salon called Tony & Jackey. I am proud to say that I am one of those first few customers who had my hair cut done by Mr. Tony, the Sr. Hair Stylist, when they weren't that famous yet. But since the hit Korean movie "My Girl" was re-shoot by Filipino actors/actresses and had their make-over done in this salon. The salon was jam packed! When I say jam packed, people are waiting for 3-4 hours for their turn!

I am so happy I am a Girl Scout! I gave them a call to schedule for a hair appointment and I had my turn without problems at all!!!

So here goes my newly "trimmed" and manicured hair with color (I believe Brown). They've used Korean product for the hair manicure.

** sorry, no make-up, it's already around 11 something PM when this shot was taken

I think hair manicure is similar to cellophane or whatever hair treatment with different names they use. All they did was apply this brown colored cream (as I chose the color brown) and massage it onto my hair and leave it for approx 30 minutes. That's just it! LOL Of course they've used this machine thingy that emits steam. Blow dried my hair and had it trimmed!

That simple! But overall, I love the texture of my hair and it is shinier!!!

But if you want to save up?
Again, just do it at home!
I guess I am just too lazy the past few days!
(excuses...i know!)
