AMW Makeovers: Trial Makeup For Soon-To-Be-Bride

Happy Tuesday AMW friends!

I thought having a baby would stop me from doing what I love most, makeovers! 

Thankfully, I have clients who are very understanding!  I got a call for a trial makeup and it was a Saturday where no one can look after my baby!  So off I went with Baby AMW and thankfully, he was such an angel that day (and most days) he behaved while mommy worked! 

Meet soon-to-be-bride A, A is not used to putting on makeup so I was very particular in making sure she's very comfortable on every step.  I also explained to her that Bridal makeup is a bit tricky, eventhough she wanted to look very natural (no makeup look), her face will definitely be more made up than the usual daily makeup routine due to flash photography, extreme sunlight on that very special day.

Here's my take on makeup that make her look more vibrant (aka IN LOVE) yet she still looks like herself!

I used to remember going "ga-ga" over finding the perfect pink lipstick that celebrities were wearing several years ago before the crazed MAC Pink Nouveau!  I told myself I will find the perfect "pink" lipstick shade that won't cost an arm and leg and there I was at a Maybelline counter swatching on different PINK lipsticks I could find!  And you thought it'll take me hours?  You're wrong!  There was around 1 or max 2 PINK lipsticks and unfortunately, they weren't even close to the pink lipstick shade that I want!

Who would've thought Maybelline took this "PINK LIPSTICK CRAZE" seriously and created a range for the LOVE of PINK!

And the best part?  You won't hear reasons of not wearing pink because you look sick on them!  They created shades made specically for different skin tones (from warm, cool and neutral)!

And I got all 4!!! Perfect for makeup artists like me as I definitely have loads of request from clients for pink lippie and I have 1 for every girl!  

AMW Bulletin: MAC Maleficent Collection

By the time you're reading this, I'm probably sleepy, tired yet very happy prettifying 10 heads for a wedding!  Ahhh the joys of working with makeup!

Do I have enough?  YES!
Do I want more?  YES! (sounds selfish) but I really do!  Especially with MAC!  They always come up with 3-4 collections in a month I can hardly breathe!  And this collection is no exception!

I'm still moping that I didn't get the chance to attend a block screening for Disney's Maleficent and I heard nothing but rave reviews of Mareng Angelina Jolie!  *sigh*  I was just telling Mr. AMW we are on a "no movie date night" mode until Kyle is probably..hmm..5 years old?  *laughs*  So back to the collection....

This collection is so dark..yet so sexy!  I like the deep, blood red shade of lipstick, lipglass and lip pencil and the extra products to enhance the eyes!  And oh, let's not forget the exaggerated contouring done on Angelina Jolie so I'm not surprised a Sculpting Powder is included in this collection!
