Clinique's Take the Day Off has been going head on head with Lancome's Bifacil. I am glad I've tried both because I am going crazy wondering which one is better!!! Well before I start my review, I would like to tell everyone that this is based on my own experiences and opinion. I am always open for your thoughts so let me know through comment section :D I love reading comments, I crave for them! :D
On with the review!
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover says ---

- Non-stinging, non-iritating. Leaves no oily residue.
4.2 fl. oz.
Askmewhats says ---
Pros
- multi-purpose, good for eyes, lips, lids, brows and even for my cheeks!
- did not irritate my eyes AT ALL
- non-graesy, no oily after-feel
- a little goes a long way
- removes my hardheaded gel liner and mascara without tugging!
- non-drying
- no weird scent
- others could find the packaging boring, I don't mind as long as it delivers!
- NONE!
I remembered getting samples from my Aunt and I've always been leaving this behind or let it get lost on its own! WHAT AM I THINKING????
I've been looking here and there for the best makeup remover and it was just right in front of me! I maybe exagerrating to some but this works for me! It's CHECK CHECK CHECK to all my makeup removers requirement! I have very sensitives eyes and I do get eye allergies! So the fact that this is Ophthalmologist Tested is a BIG PLUS for me!
Tips
from website ---
- Shake well before using.
- Saturate cotton ball with remover.
- Cleanse one eye area at a time. Apply to eye area and hold for several seconds, then wipe with downward strokes.
- Repeat using fresh cotton ball if necessary.
- Use a new saturated cotton ball or tissue for lipstick removal.
- Rinse with cool water.
- using a square pad to remove eye makeup is better than cotton balls
- wiping downwards is definitely better than going left and right
- use both sides of the cotton squares, saves the environment
- always rinse and proceed with facial cleansing
- not sure if this will work for you? Try this from a friend who uses this! :D
YES!
Where can you purchase and how much?
At Rustan's, Clinique counters for Php1,300 (approx $27.00)
Here's a visual on how you remove

I do alternate this with my L'oreal Eyes and Lip Makeup remover!
On days that I have heavier eye make up on, I use Clinique
Thank goodness, now I am not that lazy to remove mascara :D
Have a wonderful weekend!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
WOW! It looks so good! And I believe that it is cheaper than the Lancome one right?
ReplyDeleteI have heard excellent things about this remover. I just bought a generic (target) brand of makeup remover that has the same "dual formulation," and I am happy with it. I, like you, love the non-oily, but equally effective removers.
ReplyDeletethanks for the review!
wow! you've so many make-up removers!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting one!! :) budget or no, this makes the list! :)
ReplyDeleteOooppss... Thanks, sis, for this review! :) Bet this takes off liners (esp liquid and gel) with ease too! can't wait! :)
ReplyDeletelooks like a winner! I really like the purple bottle :) this is the one with the push and turn cap, right? That's the biggest turn off for me :( For some reason I'm incapable of opening push and turn caps. *sighs*
ReplyDeleteY, yes, its cheaper! :)
ReplyDeleteT, wow! Generic brand with same ingredients and cheaper? LUCKY YOU!
my_makeup_mania, hahaha I NEED to stop!!! :D
Shen sis! hahahaha let me know how you find it! Yes, I love this that this takes off gel liners and mascara with breeze!
Connie De Alwis , the bottle is super cute, yup you're right about the press then twist cap! hahahah this is the one! but so far, I can always open it , thank goodness!
Gosh, that's a lot for an eye-makeup remover. Now, I know I splurge on high-end skincare, but I don't consider eye-makeup removers really worth the splurging. I have very sensitive eyes too. Er, I wanna try but I guess I'm in the mood for eye-makeup removers haha I guess I think eye-makeup removers should be like drugstore mascara (which I use), effective and still cheap! xD
ReplyDeleteoh i'm sooo the opposite of you! LOL at first i LOVED this makeup remover to bit but then it started hurting my eyes so much they got red :'( thank God it hurt my eyes when it was about to finish so i didn't really waste the product and money coz i finished it after all
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this stuff looks awesome! I have been searching so long for the perfect m/u remover and I will have to try this out! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat review!!! i love the Balm version of this!! :D
ReplyDeleteI remember when I got a mini bottle of this, and it didn't impress me that much...
ReplyDeleteBut thanks to your review, I think I'll try again! Maybe I just had a bad bottle that time ;).

ReplyDeletethat looks like a really great product! but it's pricey nga lang :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, this sounds great! I'm still look for my HG makeup remover so I might give this a try!
ReplyDeleteinnerchild, I know what you mean, before I don't care about makeup removers but with all my nice waterproof make up, I find it so hard to remove it at the end of the day!
ReplyDeleteAi, oh no! I wish I'd love to forever :D
e.motion in motion, awww thanks for trusting my opinion, let me know how you like it!
Iyah, really? They have a balm version????
ReplyDeleteCris, hahaha do give it a try again, who knows?
prettybeautiful BIG BIG HUGS!!! That's my price for now :P
Crystal, so true, but I'm willing to invest to make my skin clean before i sleep :D
Gio,ooohhh what's the current Makeup remover you're using?
Hahahahaha! Exactly what I thought! ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteI will have to keep that remover in mind for when I need a change :) Right now I use Target Brand Eye Makeup Remover (which is generic of Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover)
ReplyDeleteXoXo
P.S. I ♥ Mr. Pimp!!!! :) lol
Wow! this topped your list! haha is this available in a smaller bottle? I want to try it first coz I have sensitive eyes too..it stings even with Cetaphil haha..thanx! :)
ReplyDeleteIm so glad you like it!! its waaay better than lancome!! <3
ReplyDeleteIm so glad you like it!! its waaay better than lancome!! <3
ReplyDeleteGracie, hahaha! Hey you are into Clinique products too! hehehe
ReplyDeleteKendall, wow...if that works! it works! So no need to look further right? Or wrong?
Crystal Gale, i believe it's only available in one size, but just in case you have relatives or friends who buy something from Clinique, sometimes, they have promotions and they give out samples and pouches, they include the makeup remover at times so you can give it a try! :D
I'm glad you found creams that work for you!! Your skin looks fab.
ReplyDeleteAlas, I'm onto the heavy duty "mature skin" products...!
I used up a full bottle of this and it really does work miracles! but I couldn't buy another one so I looked out for a dupe...and I found one!! try Sophie Martins 2-phase make up remover, it works almost as good or as good as Clinique...and the best part? it only costs 105 pesos..haha
ReplyDeleteIt works for me - waaaay better than in2it's make up remover...haha
if you don't have enough money to buy Clinique (like me!), try this one out. Maybe it could work for you, too. :D
I love this makeup remover but I only have a tiny sample bottle and it's about to run out. I'm too cheap to buy the regular-sized bottle though, I hope I can find an alternative soon!
