Eureka Moment: The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil

Here's a scenario ---
I got in The Body Shop, going straight to the "Tea Tree" Products section, getting a bottle of my favorite TBS Tea Tree Oil which I LOVE!!!  The lovely sales lady went up to me and told me: "Ma'am, they are on sale!"  I thought the SALE word wouldn't be of any bearing, 5%, 10% whatever the sale, with or without it, I know I will repurchase this!

Then there's the huge 40% that came out of her mouth!  I was astonished!  My first reaction: "Malapit na ba ma expire yan?" ("Is it near the expiration date?").  Well, it isn't!  It's just a monthly sale specials or something!  Right timing eh?

From Php499.00 (approx $11.00), huge price slash to Php299.00 (approx $6.60) per bottle!  If that's not a good deal, I don't know how you'll call it!  I hoarded!  Here's my EUREKA MOMENT!!!

Yes, I do slurp on Tea Tree Oil that's why I needed this much!  *laughs*

Here's what The Body Shop has to say about their Tea Tree Oil ---

A medicine cabinet must. A pre-blended oil which can be used in many different ways to help soothe blemished skin. Dab directly onto skin at first sign of a blemish. Size: 10ml.

Did you know that?
  • this works perfectly on "soon-to-be" Full Blown Pimples, if I see a tiny bump, I start dabbing Tea Tree Oil on the area right away
  • the scent is just strong but hey, I'm starting to get used to it!
  • they changed the cap from black to white
  • the packaging is still the same, a bit difficult to get a drop without spillage
  • AMW has pimples mostly on the chin area and forehead a couple of times a month, this helps vanish them before they grow bigger!
  • Mr. AMW also uses this for spot treatment
  • I have finished up 4 bottles of this!  (Photo below is the 4th bottle)

If you are a constant TBS Tea Tree Oil or other Tea Tree products user, what are you doing staring at the computer screen????
GO!!!

Hurry up because sale ends August 12, 2010!
Don't you just love it when you plan to purchase something and found out it's on Sale?
I call that luck and I can't help but thank the "universe" for it =D

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  1. That's indeed an awesome find!!! I'm wondering why The Body Shop at other countries (esp. Asia) goes on sale while TBS in Australia never does.

On the note of Tea Tree Oil, however, I can't use Tea Tree. First time I used a Tea Tree Toner, my face reacted to it quite badly (red bumps, stickiness, redness the lot). I'm so happy it works for you, but sadly not for me =( I just have to stick to Salicylic Acid to treat acnes.

  4. I've never really tried any of their skin care products. I dunno if the Tea Tree concealer is considered one but if that's how effective it is, I gotta try it soon. :P

  5. I love it too <3 I use it as spot treatment, or for normal days I will just add a drop to cotton pad with toner for acne prevention (not sure how effective is that.. hehe)

  12. Dana, really? Well there are too many stuffs down here like drugstore cosmetics that does not go into BOGOF, but there in the US they always have it! So I guess it really depends huh? Oh no on bad reaction to Tea Tree Oil, its really not for you then, on my part, I cannot use Salicylic Acid, it breaks me out and gives me the allergies! Girl, we're opposites!

Connie, I haven't tried other brands, lol I've been loyal to this!

  24. i love the body shop's tee tree fade cream.
i think it actually has made some scars seem more faded, but it has definitely kept new pimples at bay. I used to worry about my acne almost everyday. Now it barely crosses my mind!

  35. @cheonsadiana You just put a bit of the oil directly on your finger then dab it on the pimple marks!

  36. @neuera Sis, sorry I do not know, have you tried Searching at Multiply and FB? I'm sure there are some resellers out there. also try ebay.com.ph :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. thanks sis ...o.m.g. i really spend for the proactiv its like my third week now using it...and to my dismay it didn't work.. i tried WII afgf.. its great on me...but its so expensive... i like to think that this more natural and much cheaper tea tree oil will work on me... :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. @neuera Sis, did you finish your proactiv? somtimes, first usage won't work talaga, it takes months, so I hope ubusin mo para makita mo talaga result.

With regards to tea tree oil, if your skin is used to chemical treatments, baka this will be a bit too "gentle" for you, I suggest you use this for "pimples" that are just starting to sprout, not the grown ones na ha? I can tell that the grown ones doesn't have effect na with this but the ones that are just starting to show up, hindi natutuloy! hope this helps!

    ReplyDelete
  39. geeze thanks sis that lighthen up my day...it really helps...i was really confident with proactiv before i bought it because id tried clearasil cream before and it works on me like magic..both clearasil cream and proactiv have this active ingredient BENZOYL PEROXIDE..kaya i didnt think twice buying proactiv..

i guess ill have to give it a shot and be patient on it..thanks a lot sis that's really helpful...:D betterdayz!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @neuera There's this thing about your skin getting used to it! Kaya I know kasi Mr. AMW is the same, he used to have Benzoyl Peroxide working greatly on him but nowadays parang wala na! So alternate mo na lang with Tea Tree oil or something, he uses my Tea Tree Oil too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. you gave me an idea about it's price. i am not much of a fan of body shop though i buy my deodorant, shower gel, oil film and lip and cheek stain there... i will be getting bottles of tea tree oil also. thanks. :)
