Weekend Food Tripping at: UNO Seafood Wharf Restaurant

Good morning!  By the time you're reading this, I'm off to a wedding gig and a wedding party too!  My grade school friend is getting married today!  That calls for huge celebration!

Talking about celebration, Mr. AMW celebrated his birthday last Thursday and it was on a weeknight so we chose to eat at downtown area where its nearer to our home.  This restaurant is always full and parking is just crazy!  Thank goodness my mom-in-law made an early reservation!

UNO Seafood Wharf Restaurant
Once you get in, you'll see most of the table full with groups of friends or families.  The bright yellow and red table and chair setting greeted me together with birthday songs or just people just chatting away!

A dimsum table rolled by....
and I ordered some to keep us sane! :P

Beef Meatball

Japanese Siomai

Shrimp Dumplings

I'm not impressed with their dimsum as I find them to be a bit dry.  I am happier with dimsum at Golden Fortune or Yingying!

Eight Treasure Beancurd Soup
The name says it all, 8 treasures, 8 kinds of ingredients were used.
The soup is very tasty and I would go for second round!

Yang Chow Fried Rice
Ahh and we thought we're going to get a bit adventurous.  UNO restaurant has special UNO Fried Rice but when Mr. AMW asked what's the difference of Yang Chow Fried Rice and UNO Fried Rice?   The latter is wrapped in lotus leaf!  Mr. AMW was too hungry to even experiment at this stage!

Fish Fillet Beancurd Hotpot
I promised everyone that if I dined in a restaurant that serves tofu dish, I'm going to try it right?  And I lived up to my promise, this beancurd hotpot dish is delicious!  Though I would appreciate it if they put in more fish fillet?  It's okay as I'm a fan of beancurd.

How Prawn and Chicken Salad
Most restaurants serve Hot Prawn Salad and I appreciate the fact that this restaurant serves mixed Chicken and Shrimp!  I am allergic to both..but who cares?  It's a birthday celebration!  *laughs*  I like this dish..a lot!

Sizzling Beef Tenderloin in Black Pepper Sauce
I like them cut in smaller pieces and chew them slowly to enjoy the beef-perience!  The dish lives up to its name, its very tender indeed! :)

Fried Spareribs with Salt and Pepper
Ah, this dish came in last but nevertheless, no matter how full we are, we can't help but chew on the meaty spareribs best drizzled with vinegar!

The service is quick considering it was full house that night.  Waiters are very attentive and you get less 10% off the bill if you pay in cash!  Service charge is not included.  Restaurant accepts both cash and credit card.
