AMW Reviews: Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist BR333

During my Korea trip, I was fixated on finding a light-colored brow pencils and the country didn't fail me!  I came home with 20 eyebrow pencils that me and my clients are currently enjoying!

Early this year, during my Tokyo Japan trip, I've had my eyes fixed on finding the best and most inexpensive brow gels and trust me, I've been entering almost every beauty store I see and head straight to their "Brows corner"!

Isn't it obvious I'm addicted to brow products?  (Thank you Mr. AMW for still loving me at this point of brow-insanity!)  *laughs*

Then, during dinner with Majolica Majorca's Cathy David, she whipped out testers of Psychedelicious Collection and everyone was reaching out for the same product --- The Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist!  Yes!  We finally have a decent and inexpensive one down here!

Since it was dark at the restaurant, we didn't get to really swatch and try the product so I went home wondering, will it be better than MAC's Girl Boy?  Will it even be comparable to my favorite SANA Styling W Brow or Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow?

The shade I got is BR333 which is the lighter version among the 2 shades available!

Majolica Majorca says ---
Color brow and lashes brown to match your hair color and makeup.  A single stroke will brighten and color your brow and lashes instantly.  Doesn't clump and achieves a fluffy finish.
Waterproof, Resist Sweat, Sebum and Tear.
Contains Vitamin E and Macadamia nuts oil.

Shades: BR555 (Maroon brown) and BR333 (vanilla brown)
Size: 4.5g

AMW says ---
Pros
  • The tapered wand makes it easy to use and control.
  • Lightweight.
  • Waterproof, sweat-proof.  Stays until makeup removal.
  • The effect is natural.  The hair doesn't look stiff.
  • Tints the brows and lashes at the same time grooms them.
  • I have used the Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist for the past 2 months (or more) and so far, the consistency is still good and not dry at all.
  • Affordable price.
Cons
  • Only 2 shades available, some would like a much lighter colored brow gel.
Overall
The gel is lightweight, effect is always natural.  Long-lasting.

Tips
  • Make sure your brows are properly plucked, waxed and shaped.
  • Wipe excess brow gel on the lip of the packaging as less is always more!
  • I know the product is called Brow and Lash colorist but I prefer using this on my brows.  Having lightly colored lashes will make my lashes look non-existent.
  • If you have full brows, you can get away by using only this.  If not, fill in sparse areas with brow powder or brow pencil of similar shade.
  • To make the effect more natural, brush your brows with a clean spoolie after application to prevent clumps or uneven tone.
  • If you are a makeup artist, purchase disposable spoolies for hygiene.
  • Try to apply using light-hand strokes.  Try to steer clear from touching the brush against your skin.  Accidents may happen, don't fret, use a cotton bud and gently wipe off excess gel.
  • Keep in mind to take time to clean not only your face and eyes but also to take time in cleaning your brows.
Will I repurchase?
Yes

To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone who has colored hair and would like to lighten or tint their brows.

Where to purchase and how much?
At local Majolica Majorca counters for Php595.00 (approx $13.80).

The Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist comes in a plastic box with Manufacturing date printed.

The packaging is the same shade as the brow gel.
In this photo is BR333

Application technique:
Brush the Majolica Majorca Brow and Lash Colorist starting at the inner corner and brush outward.  After doing so, it pays to go back from the tip of the brows, this time, going inward to make sure the color is even.

BR333 on my dark brows.  (in this photo, I didn't fill or redefine shape with pencil or brow powder just for you to see the exact shade of BR333 on me).

Do you need to tint your brows?
Would you try Majolica Majorca's Brow and Lash Colorist?

    1. Your brow color have to match the color of your hair :)

    2. If your hair is light, your brows must be a shade darker than your eyebrows. If your hair is dark, your brows must be atleast two shades lighter!
