Tip for the Day: Hair Products You Can Buy at Watsons

Good morning AMW friends!  Today, I will share to you a topic super close to my heart!  It's all about HAIR!  Everyone says the hair is an extension of your identity, that statement may seem outrageous to some but I totally agree, my hair/hairstyle is one huge topic until this very day, you'll understand why later on!

The reason why I want to talk about hair is because I recently got a huge loot from dear Watsons as they launch the Hair Affair campaign. It's a loot that brought me back to memory lane!

Top hair products to buy from Watsons

Please read more, you won't regret it as you'll have a good laugh!  I may even change my mind and put down the photo :P  *winks*

Since today is Thursday, it's a wonderful timing for Throwback Thursday!  Here's a "historical" photo you won't see elsewhere!  *lol* My sister will kill me for this but hey, there's a reason why I'm embarrassing myself!

When we talk about hair, I want to talk about my sister too!  Our love affair for hair started way earlier than our love for makeup.  But life is unfair! :P  My sister has naturally straight, shiny hair while I ended up with wavy, super dry/coarse hair!  Thankfully, I wasn't the jealous B**chy sister and I always look up to her as my "peg" for hair instead of wasting my time planning ways to sabotage her hair! (I promise you, that never came to mind!  lol)

Anyways, because of my passion to have good hair day, I went to good hair stylists and have my hair styled and layered the way it fits the condition of my hair plus my face structure!  So yup, I sported this hairstyle almost FOREVER!  So please do not be surprised if my college friends still call me the "Bangs Girl"! :P

*Cute naman ako di ba? :P

Even without the high-tech hair treatments nowadays (rebond, keratin treatment, permanent blowdry), I survived ugly "I want to pull my hair out" days by wandering around Watsons to purchase limited hair care products and share bonding hair treatment time with my sister (wrapping our hair with cling wrap while massaging each other's scalp).  Ahhh..those were the fun and simple days....

Today, lucky young girls!  There are so many hair treatments and hair care products to choose from!  And mind you, most of these are affordable you can easily save up your school allowance or first salary!

Here are some products you can try aside from just shampooing to enhance your look!  I am surprised some of the products I tried when I was in highschool are still available today!

Creamsilk Daily Treatment Conditioner
P.S. Watch out for my giveaway!  It's going to be worth it!

Creamsilk Hair Reborn Technology
I am not saying this "just because" I was sent these products but Cream Silk definitely is one of best, affordable conditioners I've tried!  No wonder they are number 1 in the market!  I love the fact that they have different variants to choose from to suits everyone's hair care needs.

Hair Treats Hair Spa
Very inexpensive and worth the price!  I used to purchase these when they are on Buy One Take One sale!  My sister and I would spend hours massaging our scalp with this Lavender variant and leave it for at least an hour every Sunday afternoon!  Our hair definitely looks softer and more manageable!

Opal Hot Oil Cream Conditioner
Opal brand is huge in China and other neighboring countries!  I used to purchase Opal Conditioners back when I was working in China as they smell great!

Watsons Extra Shine Treatment Wax
This product, I've seen around Watsons stores for quite some time but never get to try! Will definitely try this out and see how it goes.

Dove Hair Fall Rescue
When Dove hair products aren't locally available, my sole supplier of Dove haircare products is my brother (who's a real sweetheart) and so far, the results are always positive!  I'm glad they have Hair Fall Rescue locally available, with stress going around nowadays, I'm sure a lot of girls have hair fall problems and this is one simple solutions to keep our hair strong!

Nanny Rose Gugo Lawat
Gugo is a known ingredient that helps nourish and revitalize hair follicles!  But I seldom like to try these herbal types of hair care products as they are usually drying!  Thankfully, Nanny Rose came up with one that includes Virgin Coconut Oil that helps add moisture and shine to hair!

Finesse Clean + Simple Hairspray
Okay, hairspray isn't really my thing but do you know who among my family loves hair spray and uses it on a daily basis like toothpaste?  My mom!  My mom is very OC with her hair so she had to spritz hairspray before going out (aha!  That's where I probably got the OC attitude! :P)  She's actually a loyal SUAVE Touchable Finish Hairspray user but I'll definitely share this to her as I love the fact that this hairspray is hypoallergenic.

Hair Treats Hair Shine
I wish we have this decades ago!  The first hair serum I've tried is from St. Ives which costs me around Php300+ (very expensive back then), I had to save up my red envelopes from New Years just to purchase one and it ended up expiring as it was a bit too oily for my hair back then!  (You have to consider the fact that I'm clueless too back then, I think I put way too much serum on my hair!)

Revlon Colorsilk
Ahhh, when we talk about our Crowning Glory, hair color is also one major factor that could make or break your look!  I've been a strong "at home hair color" user and Revlon Colorsilk is one brand I've used again and again!  Not the same shade as the one on photo below but please check my previous post on my hair color using Revlon Colorsilk HERE!  I wish I could color my hair again but I have to hold on to that thought as I'm breastfeeding!  Baby's health is still number 1 for me!  Beauty...can come later. :P

Casa Cellophane
This is definitely ONE hair color I'd love to sport!  This is the first time I heard about the brand so users out there?  Please share to me your experience!  I'd love to jump into this color immediately when I'm okay to color my hair!

So these are just some of the Hair treatments, hair styling products and hair coloring products available at Watsons!  I heard Watsons nowadays do not just house these hair care products but they also have trained Beauty Advisors who are available to assist you.  Free services such as hair styling and hair color application in selected stores are also available so keep your eyes open for that!

    2. I recently bought the Lavander variant of Hair Spa when it was on sale too! And I absolutely love how it makes my hair so soft ^.^
But I got my hair permed yesterday and I'm worried that using it could loosen the curls? What do you think? I really love your blog and the reviews you make are really helpful :)

    3. if you got your hair permed, you can still use hair treatment products BUT you have to have a product meant for curly hair, like a curl activator or something so your curls won't disappear :D

  4. Yay for this! I love scouting hair products in Watson's. I'm currently using Erth Origins which I got from there. Not that good, really. But it's ok for the price. I might try the one from Hair Treats after seeing your feedback :)

  9. I used the CASA Hair cellophane in cherry red once and boy was it red! I loved it to bits because my hair really stood out. I don't know if it's a good thing but it washes off easily. (in a month I think), and by then I wanted my hair to be un-red so it was perfect for me! It didn't damage my hair at all, too!

The coloring process was a hassle though as the color was difficult to remove when shampooing and since it got to my forehead and ears, I had to go to work with a red scalp and ears. Nonetheless, I loved it!

    1. Hmm...I believe "reds" are always easier to 'bleed' meaning, they really wear off more easily than other shades! Thanks for your feedback on the stain, I will keep in mind to keep the color off my ears and forehead! :D

  10. Hi. I just bought CASA Hair Cellophane yesterday. After having my hair rebonded (for the 2nd time this year, after the 1st one last May), I did not add other treatment, instead I went to Watsons to scout for any hair treatment.

My question is, is 1 tube of CASA good for 1 use only? Thanks. First time to try DIY Hair cellophane.

  11. Do read instructions at the box, but YES, one box is for one time use, but it doesn't mean you have to USE ALL, just like hair coloring treatment, you have to throw the rest away upon opening the tube. :)

  12. hi nikki.. i find your blog really useful. i don't go much to watsons, and i'm looking for a hair highlighter.. just want to ask if you noticed any revlon hair hghlighter on watsons?

    ReplyDelete

    1. if you want to highlight your hair, you really have to have them highlighted at professional salons, but if you're aiming for temporary, The Body Shop has this hair gel that is meant to be used on a daily basis

  14. I want to lighten up my hair color red brown, what product will I buy to make it light and visible?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If you prefer a particular shade , you need to have your hair done by a professional. If you currently have dark colored hair and you want your hair light and visible, you need to use a light Brown or any light shade.

    1. If you want to really lighten your hair and your hair is currently dark, you need to go for professional help (salon) as they need to strip off your original hair color before they pile on the light colored dye :)
