AMW Reviews: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Plushest Punch

Happy Monday AMW Friends!
Wow, I can't believe September is almost over and October is coming!  October is my favorite month!  Aside from it's the fact that I have a week holiday from work, it is also our wedding anniversary month!  So we're on to 6th year anniversary soon! :) YAY!

Since we're talking about anniversary and special events, I'd love to share a review on Clinique's newest Chubby Stick called Chubby Stick Intense!  When they labeled this cute crayon-like packaging with the term INTENSE, they really mean it....down to the bones!

The shade I got to try is called Plushest Punch.
Plushest Punch is described as Raspberry Pink.

Clinique says ---
Tempt lips with a soft cushion of colour that's not quite sheer, not quite opaque-just the perfect happy medium. Loaded with mango and shea butters so lips feel comfortably soft and smooth. Eight vibrant shades in all.

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Easy twist packaging, no sharpening needed.
  • Pigmentation is good.
  • Smooth to apply.
  • Doesn't feather or bleed.
  • Can be applied like a tinted balm or apply with heavy hand for full coverage lipstick.
  • For a  moisturizing lipstick, the color stays for at least 3-4 hours.
  • Lightweight, never feel sticky on lips.
Cons
  • There will be a tiny hint of stain that stays on lips upon eating and drinking.
Neutral
  • Price. (Some may find the price okay while some may find this really pricey).
  • Probably the fact that the tip isn't as sharp and precise once you start to use it.
Overall
I loved the Clinique Chubby Stick so much that I had it permanently inside my makeup pouch, but upon trying the intense version, the regular Chubby Stick was replaced by the Intense version as the latter gives an instant "oomph" on my boring and tired face!  I love the fact that it is very hydrating and long-lasting!

Tips
  • If you own a more pigmented or bright colored Chubby Stick Intense, feel free to use a lip brush for a more precise application.
  • You can skip lip balm underneath to prevent color from sliding off.
  • Gently pat your lips with a clean tissue paper and re-apply for more intense look.
  • Take this with you for re-application, for the stain that may be left on lips, gently brush off with a damp cotton bud before re-applying your Chubby Stick Intense.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Plushest Punch would look great on girls with fair to medium skin tone.  Clinique Chubby Stick Intense is highly recommended for girls like me who doesn't like to re-touch on lipstick several times a day!  I find myself retouching less when I wear this.

Where to purchase and how much?
Available at local Clinique counters for Php920.00 (approx $21.40).

Overall effect
I posted this photo on Instagram.  Love how it made my face appear livelier amidst the daily "disturbed sleep" :P

  3. I love the shade plus the fact that it is doesn't need sharpening and it feels smooth since it contains shea butter.
