AMW Reports: Pixy is Finally Here!

I learned about Pixy when I received a BDJ Pixy Truly Asian Beauty Box last April.  I knew this brand will be a hit to fellow beauty-enthusiasts like me because this is a drugstore brand that offers good quality makeup products that is affordable and easy-to-reach.

Just so not to confuse you, PIXY is a Japanese-formulated and Indonesian-manufactured make-up line which flatters skin tones, while infusing the same light-reflecting, skin perfecting properties.  I agree with how flattering it is on our skin tone because I was able to try some of their products from the BDJ box and even shared some to my sister who loves the brand dearly.

During the launch of Pixy here in Manila at White Space early this month, I got to learn that Pixy does not only offer basic makeup products, instead, they have way more products to share that even professional makeup artists can use to create Tokyo Kawaii and Tokyo Glam (a.k.a. Day time and Night time) looks.

The event was hosted by a Patty Laurel-Filart, also a Blogger and dear friend.

Mr. Hiroyuki Mitsuoka, President and CEO of Mandom Corporation, welcomed the guests and according to him:  "Mandom is excited to bring Pixy here in the Philippines because we believe our purpose is to contribute to the beautiful, healthy and pleasant living.  Filipinas have an innate happiness and natural beauty.  Pixy allows women to enhance this beauty by offering quality products to highlight their Truly Asian Beauty."

Hirotsugu Ohashi, General Manager, Sales and Marketing Division of Mandom Corporation also shares his excitement on how every woman should have a beauty philosophy that reflects their personality.  With this in mind, Pixy designed 2 looks inspired by the biggest catwalk in the world: The city of Tokyo.  That created a buzz as everyone loves how the Japanese apply their makeup!

I was really excited to see Makeup Artist Ms. Xeng Zulueta creates her version of Tokyo Kawaii and Tokyo Glam.

She used ALL Pixy products and I got really excited to see how good the pigmentation of each makeup item used.

  1. I attended a Pixy-fied event. I got a semi-matte lipstick which is a semi-matte coral color that I don't like that much. But then I got to try the volumizing mascara during the event so I bought myself one, plus a liquid eyeliner. I love 'em! And it's really so good, considering the price. I'd recommend that to the budget conscious, especially the students.
