AMW Reviews: Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

My feet have always been the most ignored part of my body!  But thanks to Beauty Blogging, I need to test as much "beauty-related" products as possible because not everyone is as lazy as I am right?

Ah huh, a bit!  I've been Blogging for more than 8 years now but as you browse through the "Product Reviews" segment, I have less than 10 foot care products mentioned in this blog.

And I need to do something about it!  Actually, it was a wake-up call when our house help exclaimed: "Ma'am, kahit mayayaman pala ma dry at may kalyo ang paa!" (Madam, I just realized even rich people have dry, calloused feet!)

NOTE FROM AUTHOR:  I am definitely not mayaman (rich) but it was funny how BRUTALLY Honest (and tactless) our house help was! *laughs* But seriously, it was an "OUCHY" statement!  (Sagad to the bones ha!)

Can I just protect my image?  *laughs*  I used to have pretty nice feet but ever since Baby AMW turned into a "walking and running monster", I tend to stay barefoot at his play area thus the "legit" excuse of having dry and calloused feet!

Legit reasoning or not, I need to do something Fast before it's too late!  Every night I put Baby AMW to sleep, I take the extra time to apply Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme and wear socks for the past month!  So far, here are my thoughts if this extra "beauty" step is worth it or not!

Burt's Bees says ---
Your feet support you each and every day. How about a little love? Made with Coconut Oil and other natural ingredients, our foot creme revives and rejuvenates your dry, oh-so neglected feet while Rosemary and Peppermint Extracts refresh your weary soles. You’ll go nuts for it.

Revives and rejuvenates dry feet with Coconut Oil
Refreshes with Rosemary and Peppermint Extracts

Ingredients:
Coconut Oil - Coconut Oil is so rich in emollient fat that when pressed, it produces  super moisturizing white oil. At room temperature this sweet-scented bit of perfection is solid. But on contact with your supple skin, it melts right in.
glycerin, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, lanolin, fragrance, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, quillaja saponaria (quillaja) bark extract, avena sativa (oat) kernel oil, tocopherolrosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil, butylphenyl methylpropional, coumarin, limonene, linalool.

Net Weight: 4.34oz. (123 g)

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Packaging.
  • Scent, not the icky coconut scent that I dislike.  This actually smells great --- coconut with a bit of peppermint.
  • Soothes my dry, cracked skin.
  • Feet feel smooth and luxuriously soft the next morning.
  • Made with natural ingredients.
  • Rough spot and cracked lines disappear a bit after consistently using this for 1 full month.

Cons
  • A bit too greasy to be used alone without socks. (sorry it's just me, I dislike bed sheet with grease stains)
  • If you store the product a bit too long, the oil and the "cream" tends to separate a bit.
  • The effect isn't long-term, you have to keep on using it to see better results.
Overall
Effective foot creme that smells great!  For best result, constant usage is needed.

Tips
from Burt's Bees
  • Apply liberally and allow the cream to fully absorb. For a luxurious way to treat your feet, soak feet in warm water for 10-15 minutes and rub gently with a pumice stone. Massage Coconut Foot Creme into feet, paying close attention to heels and calloused skin. Then cover your feet with cotton socks overnight to soothe and seal in moisture.
from AMW
  • For best result, exfoliate your feet before you go to bed and apply a generous amount all over your feet.  Slip on your favorite cotton socks and enjoy smooth feet the next day!
  • Consistency is the key!  I tried skipping a couple of days and you won't see much result doing so.
  • Apply extra cream on your knees and elbow.
  •  Please do not apply on cracked skin.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Those who don't mind doing the extra step of applying foot creme at night.  Perfect for users with extremely dry feet.

Where to purchase and how much?
Available at Beauty Bar priced at Php750.00 (approx $17.85)
