AMW Reviews: Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless Cleansing Conditioner

When I visited Piandre Salon at FORT for a Macadamia Muse Party, I saw Drea, owner of Piandre Salon whom I met years ago when I had my Keratin treatment at Straight and Smooth salon.

She took one look at my hair and told me I have a "unique" hair texture, she's probably just being nice!  My hair was in bad shape!  So she handed me a Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless Cleansing Conditioner in 3oz 90ml to try!  She told me this product is unique and a bit tricky to use!  I told her I take the challenge and I'll try this product!

True enough, it took me weeks, almost a  months to finally get the hang of using this product!

And it's even more unique because the Flawless Cleansing Conditioner appears to be like a "foam" on each squirt!  But uniqueness aside, I'll share to you why this product is worth trying!

Pros

• Very gentle on hair.
• Hair feels soft, tangle-free on FIRST wash.
• Cleanses and conditions so this doubles as a shampoo and conditioner.
• Great smell.
• Adds shine to my hair after air-dry or blow-dry
• A little goes a long way!  A pump is enough for my hair length.
• This product helps take away my frizzy ends!
• Since this conditioner cleanses and conditions, this is a perfect partner on days you don't want to shampoo your hair. 
• My hair color appears more vibrant after every wash.
• Can be used alone as it really cleanses the hair!
  

Cons

• If applied too much, hair may feel heavy and weighed-down.
• If you love to style your hair, the curl or waves may not last even for an hour.
• If the pump doesn't work, I'm not sure how you'll get the rest of the product.
• The mess of the pump after every use.  

 

 

Neutral

• So far, I haven't notice that it cuts my blow-drying time, I guess it really depends on your hair texture, thickness and condition.
• "cleansing" may not be enough if you have extremely greasy hair.

Overall
Unique foam-type cleanser/conditioner.  Helps in conditioning dry and frizzy hair leaving hair soft and sweet smelling.

Tips

• If you want to invest/splurge, go for Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo and conditioner pair, I LOVE that combination more than just using this Cleansing Conditioner.
• Try not to pump too much!  A little goes a long way!  I pumped an almost golf-ball size and my hair feels heavy and weighed down the whole day!  The perfect size for my hair length is a size of MAC eyeshadow pan.
• Shake before you pump.
• If you have extremely frizzy and dry hair, use this alone and concentrate massaging on the scalp area and apply more on dry ends.
• Once a week, use clarifying shampoo to remove residue from hair products. 
• If you have extremely greasy hair and still want to try this product, shampoo off excess "oil" before you use the Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless Cleansing Conditioner.

Will I repurchase?
Yes

To whom do I recommend this to?
Those who have dry scalp, dry hair who can't use regular shampoo on the daily basis.

With just 1 pump, you get this much of product.  Gently massage the product using both hands before you start applying on your wet hair.  For better results, I like to put a shower cap and wash the rest of my body leaving the Cleansing Conditioner to do its' job.

Overall, I find this product unique, yet effective at a certain extent!  If you have extremely frizzy hair, the effect may not be as instant like it did on me but so far, I find that after almost a month's usage, my hair feels better!  Like I had hair treatment everyday!
