Happy 50Th Golden Wedding Anniversary Ma and Pa!

Shocking that I skipped a post yesterday right?
Well, don't be!  If you follow me on Instagram (@AskMeWhats), you'll know what kept me busy for the past few days!  I have been cramming for my mom and dad's 50th..yes...50th!  Golden Wedding Anniversary!

Okay, I can't help it, but my mom and dad looks so beautiful and handsome together!

I realized how nice it is to have brothers and sisters.  I have 2 big brothers and 1 elder sister..yes, I'm the youngest in the family (but definitely NOT spoiled!)  All thanks to my mom and dad's guidance, I grew up to be who I am now because of their constant reminder to treat people well, be generous not with wealth but with love, be compassionate to others, be humble and never ask for things you don't need.

These are just some of the MANY things they instilled to us through the years!  Looking back, I used to think my parents are so "kuripot" (meager), so traditional that I (once in my life) wished I was born in a different family!  (So bad right?)  But yeah, I thought they were too strict, too boring!  Now, as I hosted my parents 50th Golden Anniversary, it took me several nights to come up with what I will say for my toast, but never really wrote it!  If I may quote Pope Francis, I spoke from the heart!  It right there and then the words and love and gratitude flowed from my heart to my mouth!  I want to congratulate my brothers, sister and myself for coming up with such a simple YET very meaningful and touching party!

I do not have the official photos from Photoman.ph but here are just some photos taken from our mobile phones!

Location: Ascott Makati

Yes, I hosted this event!

It was an intimate gathering for family members.
My mom and dad are so happy and the surprise was a huge success!

Ma and Pa, we love you, thank you for raising 4 successful adults, bringing with us all those wonderful teachings both of you shared!  I can't wait to raise Kyle the way you guys did for us!

In this day and age, reaching 50 is definitely a HUGE milestone!  I pray for God's grace to keep my parents healthy and happy for more years to come!

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
