Weekend Food Trip at: Red Kimono

I've tried Red Kimono restaurant at Fort, BGC at the same building of ONE Parkade next to Bon Chon several times because I usually go for "takeaway" whenever I'm out for an event before going home!  When the family accompanied me to a night event, I've decided to take them there to try their food, this time, fresh from the kitchen!  (Not from takeaway box!)

The restaurant is seldom full but don't judge the restaurant by the number of customers inside.  The food they serve are quite good and the price is okay considering it is located at the heart of BHS Central.

Spicy Salmon Crunch
Php220.00 (approx $5.00)
A fiery roll stuffed and topped with
grilled Norwegian salmon and Crispy Tempura Flakes
This was actually my request!  I haven't had any "rolls" in Japanese restaurant for quite some time and I missed the version from Teriyaki Boy!  Overall, this version is really good too!  A starter I'll definitely order again.

Chicken Teriyaki
Php410.00 (approx $9.31)
From Fully Loaded Bentos, served with Salmon Sashimi,
Crunchy Kani Maki, Kyuri Kani Salad, Miso Soup and Iced Tea.

If you are new in the restaurant, I highly recommend trying out their Fully Loaded Bentos because not only you get full with this meal, you also get to try their different dishes.

And I love Miso Soup!  Glad they included this!
Kyle loves Miso Soup too!

Katsudon
Php210.00 (approx $4.70)
I don't know why but when a restaurant order rice bowls, I always go for Katsudon!  I guess it is for the fact that I tried to cook this so many times at home I just want to see what the differences are from homecooked Katsudon to restaurant-cooked!

Overall, it wasn't that amazing, just okay.  My favorite Katsudon rice bowl is from Ajisen Ramen.

Beef Teppanyaki
Php395.00 (approx $8.90)
Stir Fried Beef Tenderloin with vegetables.
Served on a sizzling plate, the sauce was almost gone!  So we asked for more sauce and thankfully, the restaurant gave us more which made this dish extra yummy!  The Beef Tenderloin is tender enough to easily chew but again, our favorite Beef Tenderloin dish is from Ajisen Ramen (again!)

I actually invited my good blogger friend Angela (of Lush Angel) again to dine in this restaurant when we had time to kill a couple of days ago!  Overall, I am very impressed with the service of their staffs and the food is quite good!  The only ONE complaint I can think of as of the moment is the presence of mosquitoes in the restaurant.  YES, you read it right, mosquitoes!  I've been bitten so many times so I always bring my own Anti-Mosquito spray!  The restaurant did try their best by adding electric mosquito repellant.

Have you tried Red Kimono at BHS Central?
What is your favorite dish?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
