My To-Go-To Eye Makeup Look on Night Out + Contest

You know how everyone has their own "default" makeup look when they want to look good and don't have time to experiment?

Well, I do!  This is my "To-go-to" makeup when the occasion calls for it!  You know, when you don't want to mess up your look and want to look good on both photos and in person!

Semi-smokey eyes+ Bright Lips and dewy and bright face!

Thankfully, this tutorial won't make you feel like you have to spend tons to make yourself feel good!  You don't have to!  Because I've found a palette that includes most of the shades I would use on both myself and clients!  You've probably seen this around because they've been creating buzz both on and offline!

Maybelline The Nudes Palette
Php675.00 (approx $15.00)
Available at SM Beauty Section (Maybelline Counters)

The palette comes with 12 shades to create the perfect "No makeup makeup" look, or maybe a night time smoky eye makeup look that would look great on ANY occasion!  It is a mixture of matte, satin and frost textures.  Let me know if you want a quick swatch but with the perfection of the affordable price range, unfortunately, not all the shadows are highly pigmented so some you may have to go through a couple of times to get the right intensity.

So before I blab further, I will leave the rest of the review in my future post (with swatches) but fo rnow, I picked the dark matte brown shade on the upper right hand side of the palette and gently buff into my lid from light to deeper intensity changing brushes from big fluffy blending brush to small pencil brush.

I failed to mention, I already did my brows using L'Oreal Brow Artist Design Pro.

This proved you don't need gazillion of shadows, instead, you only need to apply certain shadows with light to heavy hand adding more pigments as needed.

Yes girls, that's only 1 shadow there with depth!

What is smoky makeup without black?  *laughs*  I picked the matte black shade with the free applicator that comes with the palette, I deepen the crease area and apply some on the lower lashline.

Now this is optional, but I like to create a bit of "pop" as I always do!  I picked the most "frosted" shadow in the palette (a bit like a champagne shade) and apply at the center of the lid.

Chinita eyes like me can never survive without an eyeliner!  So for this tutorial,  I used my trustee K-Palette 24H Tatoo Liner in Black on the upper lashline.  Applied black pencil liner on the waterline and tightline with YADAH Eyeliner Pencil in black.

And if I want mascara that never smudge or budge--- found one!  From Etude House Curl Fix Mascara!  The only pain in the neck?  So difficult to remove this mascara I swear!

As for the pop of color, I went for inexpensive brand of lipstick from Bobbie in Parisian Pink.  I'm quite surprised with its' pigmentation and it doesn't hurt how nice the pink looks on my skin.

DONE!

My default makeup that doesn't look too much in person yet still visible on photos!

Again, a huge smile would make the cut!

Now here's the exciting part!  By creating the same photo like this on IG - a Before and After eye makeup look, you my get the chance to win Php5,000 worth of SM GCs!  How?
