KATE Tokyo Powderless Liquid For Cover Review

Everyone's being looking for a foundation that is "my-skin-but-better".  And that said, thankfully, most brands are coming up with better skin makeup than 10 years ago!  Oh boy!  Do you still remember thick, greasy and difficult-to-blend makeup?

So I finally got my hands on the Powderless Liquid For Cover foundation from KATE Tokyo and this isn't a new product, it has been around for more than 3 years now!

I got the shade OC-B and tested it for a month.

Pros

• Plastic packaging.  For those who like to tote their liquid foundation everywhere!  This is perfect!  You don't have to worry bout heavy glass packaging that has a higher chance of breakage.
• Sheer to medium coverage.
• Can cover small marks, dark spots and redness.
• Lightweight, non-greasy.
• Can survive without setting with a powder.
• Comes with SPF20 which is just right for daily use.  
• No white cast.
• Demi-matte finish
• OC-B matches my skin perfectly!
• Very natural looking with a bit of brightening effect.

Cons

•  May cling to dry patches and wrinkles if not applied properly.
  

Overall

Kate Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation is indeed a liquid to powder-type of foundation!  It gives a natural glow to the skin with minimal coverage.

Tips

• Follow up with a concealer or use a corrector if you have more marks to cover.
• Oily-skin users may still need to set with a powder for better oil-control.
• Dry-skin users can still use this product but apply with "dabbing" motion on areas that are dry and flaking.
• Best to moisturize before using this product.
• Best applied with a foundation brush or sponge.
• If you have dry skin, try not to apply using your fingers as the extra "rubbing" may cause skin to flake even more.

Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Best used by users with normal, combination and oily skin due to its' liquid-powder finish!  But this works for ALL skin types because it does not enhance the dry patches around my face.

I love the simple, straightforward packaging.  The pump squirts just the right amount of product.  1 squirt for the whole face with sheer coverage.  2 pumps is perfect for a bit of coverage.

Once blended, it looks almost invisible on my skin!  The effect is just like powder foundation!

I like to apply using a foundation brush with short quick strokes.

Before and After

It covers minimal darkness on the undereye area, at the same time, redness around the sides of the nose and cheeks were also lessened!  I like how my overall look is natural yet brighter!

This is the type of foundation I would highly recommend for daily use!  It never felt like you have anything on once applied and it stays like that for the whole day!  Well, maybe minimal retouching is needed if you have extremely oily skin.
