Who would have thought our favorite All Natural Brand Burt's Bees FINALLY came out with lipsticks! Not just any other lipsticks --- these have intense color, full-coverage and are hydrating enough to soften and condition your lips all day! The amazing part? Available in 14 gorgeous shades!
Yes guys, I'm not pulling your leg! There are really 14 shades and I got them all!
And the more surprising part, I was able to wear all 14 shades for you to easily pick your favorite shade!
This collage will definitely show you why a woman can't have too much lipsticks! See how each color changes my overall look even with the same makeup, same outfit and hair color? You can easily spot the shades that work for me and shades that make me look, ahmmm...sick! But hey, with all 14 shades, I don't have to worry! I can easily mix and match and the best part? They are 100% natural so these are my obvious choice of lip color especially when I'm around with my toddler! Nothing beats him kissing me with the comfort of knowing my lipstick is safe!
Can you spot your favorite shade?
My vote goes all the lip color on first row! What's your vote?
Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lipsticks are housed in "recyclable" packaging and it is so pretty in a sense that it won't look like your regular lipstick bullet! This one incorporated the "beehive" design with the exact shade of lipcolor peeking through tiny holes! I love how I don't need to look under the lipstick to know the shade! This is as easy-breezy as peek-a-boo!
Swatches:
I am so happy they came up with 14 shades from natural to bolder colors! I know Burt's Bees isn't the type that would go for loud colors, and I'm glad they went out of their comfort zone!
For easier reference, they are divided into shade categories ---
- NUDES - 500 Nile Nude, 501 Blush Basin, 502 Suede Splash (Numbered in BLUE)
- PINKS/CORALS - 510 Iced Iris, 511 Magenta Rush, 512 Fuchsia Flood and 523 Sunset Cruise (numbered in RED)
- MAUVES/BERRY - 514 Brimming Berry, 515 Tulip Tide, 530 Lily Lake and 531 Juniper Water (numbered in PURPLE)
- REDS - 520 Scarlet Soaked, 521 Ruby Ripple and 532 Russet River (numbered in YELLOW)
500 Nile Nude
Nile Nude is actually a perfect beige-nude lipstick for me! For the first time, even with minimal makeup, I actually look alive and kicking! Definitely a wonderful nude-colored lippie even for fair skinned girls.
501 Blush Basin
Peach pink listick that appears almost deep peach on my pigmented lips. This is a nice everyday MLBB shade.
502 Suede Splash
Almost similar to Blush Basin but has more browns to it! Another nice everyday lip color and a perfect nude for users with medium to darker complexion.
510 Iced Irish
A bubble gum pick shade that doesn't work too well on me! Maybe, I need to warm it up with a lip pencil or use a lip concealer underneath because my pigmented lips are peeking through. This shade, I can imagine would work well on users with medium to darker complexion. A nice pinkish nude lip shade.
511 Magenta Rush
A love fuchsia shade. Can brighten up anyone's face! A great alternative for those who can't seem to wear red!
512 Fuchsia Flood
A purplish pink color on tube but was more warm when applied on my lips! Another great medium pink shade.
514 Brimming Berry
A warm toned red shade that can whiten anyone's teeth! This is a nice start-up red lip color too!
515 Tulip Tide
My least favorite just because the color doesn't work for me! It washes off my features because of its' cool undertone. This would work perfectly on those with medium to darker complexion. Well, I can still wear this with a mix of something warm like a brown lip pencil underneath or maybe, play up with my eyes with a heavy smoky eye look!
520 Scarlet Soaked
Coral Red shade that doesn't seem to do anything on my already warm skin. This gives out a summer vibe and maybe would work better if I apply bronzer to warm up the rest of my face.
521 Ruby Ripple
A perfect red for any skin tone! I love how my lips look shiny and healthy!
523 Sunset Cruise
A muted coral shade, I can seldom wear a coral lipstick and this one is super forgiving! Definitely a favorite coral lipstick of mine to date!
530 Lily Lake
A crowd favorite! Lily Lake is a medium pink shade that can make anyone look at least 2-3 years younger!
531 Juniper Water
A burgundy red lipstick that is unique even when worn on its own! Definitely a favorite when I wanted to create a statement without applying too much makeup!
532 Russet River
The darkest shade! It's has a deep brown red tone that screams 90's!
Overall, I am very happy with the texture, the smooth, satin finish and how it NEVER dries up my lips no matter how many times I re-apply! Thankfully, each lipstick features ingredients such as Beeswax, Moringa Oil, Raspberry Seed Oil and Vitamin E making it a perfect "lip color of choice".
The only thing I need to remind everyone is that, you have to be careful in putting the cap back on as the lipstick doesn't swivel down completely! Giving you a nice "peak" on the tip of the lipstick making it an easy target for potential damage! *eek!* (Yup, spoken from experience!)
But overall, I am impressed and very happy with my new Burt's Bees Lipstick Collection! These are available in select Beauty Bar stores, Rustan's Shangri-La and www.zalora.ph. Each are priced at Php795.00 (approx $17.68).
