AMW Wears: L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Star Velvet Pinks

Not everyone can wear Pink Lipstick!  That's what I used to say!  Because pink really looks weird on me at times, especially the bright ones!

Thankfully, one giant cosmetics company --- L'Oreal, came up with a blooming pink lipstick collection for every Filipina's skin tone!  The line is under our favorite Color Riche Collection Star Velvet Pinks!

Guess what?  I wore them all!
Have you found a favorite?

After their well-loved Collection Star Matte Reds, I'm glad they finally came out with a "pink" version as I felt Pinks are as difficult to wear just like Reds!  And true enough, as a make up artist, I understand there is a certain level of "pink" that would work better on certain skin tone! This line is custom-made to fit every Filipina Skin Tone (as I was told)

And to make our lives easier, Verna Marin, L'Oreal Makeup Designer/Paris Chief Makeup Artist in the Philippines shares the secret to finding the perfect blooming pink for your skin tone by segregating the 7 shades to 3 skin tones.

For Fair-Skinned Filipinas
Choose between Jasmine, Primrose or Camelia

Jasmine is a gorgeous tea pink shade that looks super natural yet flattering even on sallow skin (me!)

Primrose on the other hand is an orange-pink shade that is also good for everyday wear.

Now, for fair-skinned girls who are scared to use bright pink, there is actually ONE bright pink lipstick that I could wear!  Camelia is extremely bright-looking pink on tube but once applied, it comes off as a medium magenta-pink.

For Medium Skin Tones
Choose between Iris and Fuchsia

Iris is a deep pink shade that comes off rich and creamy.

Fuchsia is extremely rich and luminous that goes off almost reddish pink!

For Morenas
Choose between Nymphea or Rose Lotus

I am not morena but Nymphea won my heart!  It is a warm-pink with peach undertone that works so well on my skin!  I love to wear this on a daily basis because my face look well-lit.

Rose Lotus, is a deep mauve-pink shade that would look great if you have medium to darker complexion!  I can pull this off with more eye makeup or probably thicker liner!

Though L'Oreal mentioned certain lip color to work on certain skin tone, I highly recommend for you to try them out on counters because really, there are no hard rules when it comes to makeup!  If it looks good on you, it will!  Or as long as you feel good wearing them, no one can dictate what you should or shouldn't wear!

All 7 rich velvet matte shades of Color Riche Collection Star Velvet Pinks is priced at Php400.00 each.  For more information about Color Riche Collection Star Velvet Pinks, visit www.facebook.com/LOrealParisPhilippines.
