A Long-Lasting MLBB Shade in a Pencil!

You know how you love your "My Lips But Better" shade but you wish it could stay longer?  Well, my solution will always be using a lip liner all over your lips (like a regular lipstick).  BUT, this solution doesn't seem to be the best when you have dry and flaky lips like I do!  So today, I will share a quick review on a lip liner that can actually be used by anyone who has a similar dry-lipped situation like I do!

Are you ready?  Introducing... Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner in shade 5 which is a Natural Berry shade.

That's me wearing ONLY the Auto Lipliner without lip balm underneath...not bad huh?

Now here's the best part, would you believe these are priced so affordably at Php98.00?  Yes, you aren't imagining things, it is indeed 98 pesos only and there are a total of 5 shades to choose from, feel free to head on to Etude House Philippines website for other shade choices.

According to Etude House ---
"0.2g Auto dispense pencil comes in multiple shades to create a lip boundary with soft texture and fine line application for elegant, uniform expression."
Yes, just 0.2 g worth of lipliner but I actually do not mind because I prefer trying out "small amount of product" to know if it works for me or not rather than having them lying around on top of my dresser table with no use!

It comes with an Automatic Twist-up pencil packaging which makes it so easy to use anytime, anywhere!  The tip is sharp at first few uses but I believe it'll go dull after 2-3 uses which I don't mind.

Swatch: Shade 5
The shade looks quite medium to dark on packaging but upon swatching, I would call this a medium rose with brown hue shade.  Something I like to call an "MLBB" shade for most Filipinas.

Truth be told, the texture is quite dry during application but I am quite surprised it didn't exfoliate my lips or create dry, flaky lips!  I like to apply on the outline of my lips first then gently fill in the rest with short, quick strokes.

As for longevity, the Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner obviously lasts longer than regular lipsticks, let's say additional 1-2 hours which isn't bad considering how much I enjoy drinking (coffee), licking my lips and "yak".  Not bad for the price and not bad considering the pigmentation.

Overall, I plan to go back and purchase other shades to see how it works on me!  But keep in mind that this product may have a bit of that "waxy" taste which goes away immediately, so I'm fine by it!

How do you like the look of Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner shade 5 on your friendly AMW?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  1. I found my MLBB shade with essense lip liner anyway, the shade brightens your face and somewhat refreshing since most lippie today are in different shades of brown.
