Start of the week once again and I am claiming Monday to be a Lipstick-choice day! I enjoy sharing my lipstick find on a Monday because this is my ultimate "I'm so lazy to get up day and I want more sleep!" So the best way to look presentable is whip out the best-looking shade of lipstick that matches your complexion!

Dearberry has 2 new lipsticks called Lip Service and Flirt.
Judging by the look on packaging, Lip Service is housed in a black box and black packaging which translates to a more mature side. As for Flirt, the name says it all, this line is more playful, girly and just plain....flirty! The packaging is also housed in a pink tube similar as the box!

AMW Wears Dearberry Lip Service in Berry Scarlet
I would call this a more mature shade. I look more polished and professional, perfect lip color to wear when I attend meetings or do workshops! This color warms up my face and my hair appears more golden! This shade would work for medium to darker complexion.
AMW Wears Dearberry Flirt in Italian Rose
This shade has more of that young, hip and "flirty" vibe. I like how it has a younger-looking vibe without looking like I'm trying hard! The extra sheen is a perfect color for those with dry lips! I like how this shade doesn't make me look sick so this would work for users with fair to dark complexion! A universally flattering pink shade for us Filipinas I would say!

Can you see how my skin tone changes as I changed my lip color?
My face looks warmer (and slimmer!) when I'm wearing Berry Scarlet (which is normal for warm skin tone to wear warm shades), on the other hand, my face looks brighter (though a bit fuller as it gives an illusion of a natural glow) when I wear Italian Rose.
Based from trying out 2 Dearberry Lipsticks, I would say these are meant for those who prefer a not-so-matte and highly hydrating lipsticks! I find that even if my lips are on the driest condition, I can actually wear this even without lip balm underneath! It does not settle into my lip lines and best of all, it doesn't make my lips feel tight or dry!
If you prefer a "matte-version" of these lip colors, you can easily blot off excess "moisture" with a clean tissue and tap with loose powder! I, on the other hand, enjoy wearing these lip colors as is because they look pretty that way!

I don'know if it is just me but I find berry scarlet suits you and indeed your face look warmer and somewhat slimmer? (Idk lol!)
ReplyDeletesis you're right, I noticed it too that's why I've written about how I pick the berry scarlet one because it slims my face! :D But the Italian rose made my skin looks fresher and brighter though :D
