My #MaryKayBeautyOnTheGo Looks

As a busy individual (Note: I'm not talking about just being a busy mom so this tutorial is for EVERYONE!)  I know on most days, I only have less than 5 minutes to do my makeup so if you can see my photo collage below, you can see the key products I use.. can you spot them?

Brows - check!

Eyeliner - check!
Mascara - check!

and various lipstick shades --- Check! Check! Check!

That's why when I was challenged by Mary Kay Philippines to create my own version of #MaryKayBeautyOnTheGo looks using these....

...it doesn't feel like a challenge at all, because this is how I usually wear my makeup!

To start with, I usually spot conceal areas around my face that needed coverage, that's the undereye area and red spots on the sides of my nose.

I like to use a lightweight press powder and for this tutorial, I used Mary Kay On-The-Go Mineral Pressed Powder in Ivory 2 (Php699.00).  There isn't much coverage on this but it sets my concealer pretty well and I like the fact that this is mineral-based so it's safe even around kids.

I like to "pat and press" instead of rubbing.  The sponge that comes in this compact is super soft and easy-to-use whether wet or dry, I prefer to go for the latter.

Now on to brows, I always fill my brows quickly and define the shape using a light-colored brow pencil.  The Mary Kay Brow Definer Pencil in Brunette is super easy to use even for first-timer.  The shdae is just right for most Filipinas and I like the fact that my brows won't look overly-drawn because of its' natural shade.

Start by shaping the bottom part of the brows and with short brow-hair-like strokes, fill in the rest of your brows.

Before and After

I usually go for liquid liner but on days I don't want my eyes to look too defined but more on the natural side.  I pick eyeliner pencil and the Mary Kay Eyeliner in Black (Php449.00) is soft enough to be "smoked out" and sets pretty well.  I used the shade Black but go for Deep Brown if your eyes are bigger than mine!

Tip from AMW: Immediately after applying the liner close to the lashline, blend out using a liner brush (on photo: Etude House brush).  To set the liner and to prevent it from smudging, apply a little amount of Mary Kay On-The-Go Mineral Pressed Powder on top.

Don't forget to curl your lashes.

And use mascara that gives both Volume and Length.  The Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara (Php795.00) is housed in a unique tube that is bigger than regular mascara tubes.  I find the brush is quite unique in a way that it doesn't touch my puffy eyelid.  It has a mixture of long and short bristles making it easier to reach every single lash strand.  My lashes are extremely sparse and short so this mascara is actually good enough to give length and definition on my lashes.  The curl holds until removal by the way!

Now seeing some of my lashes is a huge improvement!
AMW Tip: If you are aiming for wow lashes especially for photography, use False Lashes.

Now my ultimate favorite part, to enhance my look with different shades of lip color!  Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipsticks (Php599.00)are the newest in their lipstick line.  They actually gives off a matte finish yet the texture and feel is quite lightweight so I'm loving these!

Shades: L-R Mauve Moment, Poppy Please and Crushed Berry

My daytime color - Mauve Moment
Very natural-looking MLBB shade.

When I needed some attention - Poppy Please
A deep orange red lip color that doesn't turn me orange so I'm okay with this!  Not my favorite shade out of the 3 but still workable!

My nighttime shade or feel-good shade - Crushed Berry
Any berry shade works really well on me!  The color lighten up my face and makes me look more awake than usual!
