So, I visited Yves Rocher store at SM Aura a couple of months ago and shopped for Christmas when I've decided to pick this after "missing" my The Body Shop Lightening Touch Pen. Aside from that, the packaging reminds me so much of the most coveted YSL Touche Eclat so I had to pick this up!
And as always, I read a couple of online reviews even after sharing my first use on IG Stories (it was a success by the way and you guys can see the difference). But as a researcher, I always wanted to understand the product more! So after reading sites on how to maximize the use of Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen, I also came across negative reviews about this product. So I guess, I was honestly surprised because most of the users were expecting this to work as a concealer, but this definitely isn't one!
So this post is to share how to "really" use the corrector pen and how to maximize the positive result.
Why do I sound so serious? :P
On first use, you'll do at least 30-40 clicks, so don't be shy! CLICK away! I actually find it a stress-reliever! Any new Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pens out there? I'm willing to "click" for you :P
According to Yves Rocher ---
"Discover the ultimate weapon to maintain a radiant, youthful complexion in every situation! In a single stroke of its brush tip, the easy-to-apply Radiant Youth Corrector Pen's creamy texture instantly smoothes wrinkles and fine lines and reduces signs of fatigue. Enriched with light-diffusing pigments, it lightens dark areas and illuminates the complexion. Its light texture blends with the skin, evening out the complexion without marking features. It offers uniform results and flawless coverage all day long.
Result: Instantly, your complexion appears radiant and well-rested. Signs of aging appear less visible and skin is radiant with youthfulness. "
Swatch: Beige
The shade Beige I believe is perfect for most Filipinas with fair or dark complexion. The consistency of this Radiant Youth Corrector Pen is quite thin but not runny! It has a Beige/Salmon tone to it so it is a perfect "corrector" for the undereye area, to minimize the look of darkness but NOT totally remove.
As for application, it is best to apply your base makeup first, BB creams, Foundation (liquid, Cream) and do not set with powder yet, if you have extreme dark undereye circles, apply your choice of concealer first.
The brush is indeed super practical, soft and easy to use! I like how I can easy highlight areas around my face (even the smaller ones) without over applying.
AMW application:
Under the eye, nose bridge.
If you would like to go further, apply on your chin and at the center of your forehead. But personally speaking, I would only use it on the undereye area and nose bridge because....tipid :P
Before and after, the effect is very subtle but you can definitely see my face well-lifted.
That said, I also tried applying with concealer underneath, the result is much better!
Before and After
Half-Face Test
Can you see how "lifted" on the thumbs up area of my face?
I think the Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen is a God-sent! It may not give the vavavoom "conceal everything you need to conceal" effect but I like how it can lift my face, brighten certain areas, make me look like I have pretty good skin and good sleep with just a few clicks!
Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen is priced locally at Php700+ (sorry I threw away the receipt), for more information, like them on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/YvesRocherPhilippines/)

no problem! my pleasure
DeleteMost korean no makeup makeup look way back 2010 uses YSL for highlighting. The end result of yves rocher looks very similar to that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really tried YSL to compare, I wish I can do side by side comparison soon!
