Hey AMW friends! It's Tuesday and the days flew by pretty quickly and my AMW Workshop Series for year 2017 is lurking around the corner! Will post more details soon!
Today, I've decided to share my tiny secret on how to keep my lips half-sane especially on days I swatch gazillion of lipsticks! My secret? I use lip scrub to completely remove lipstick/lip lacquer residue!
Most of the time, lips/eye makeup remover doesn't do the cut! So to answer most of your queries, you need to invest on a lip scrub! And one brand/product you can look into is from Tony Moly called the Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub!
It is housed in a super cute "lip-shaped" plastic packaging and I originally thought this is a tinted lip balm when I picked this out in store! It was a lovely surprise to find a lip scrub instead because I honestly own so many lip products and only a few lip scrubs! The most previous one I reviewed was Bliss Fabulips and I already "hit the pan" on that.
Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub says ---
"Removes dead skin cells and make lips soft, smooth and elastic 2. With vegetable nature scrub complex 3. Help lip essence balm absorb into lips"
How to use is super self-explanatory! You just grab a tiny bit of product and apply all over your lips once or twice a week or on days you wore the most bad-ass Lip Lacquer! Please be gentle in massaging this product on your lips and make sure to apply with your lips dry!
I usually remove the lip scrub residue with a clean makeup remover sheet and wash my lips with water, pat dry and apply a generous amount of lip balm!
Now this is to show you how I already used a lip/eye make remover and after using the Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub, you can still see some lipstick residue removed! So my lips definitely felt cleaner.
Thankfully, the Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub is less drying as compared to the Fabulips one! I cannot stress hard enough that following up with lip balm application is vital but thankfully, with this product, I don't feel the need to reach out for it at once! It doesn't dry out my lips and it can leave a nice film of moisture which felt really good.
To those who are asking how to completely clean off lipstick/lip product residue, you may want to invest on lip scrubs because exfoliation is really needed once or twice a week especially if you have dry lips like I do!
Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub retails at Php248.00 available in all Tony Moly stores near you. Visit www.tonymoly.ph for more product information and like them on Facebook.
Do you own a lip scrub?
How many lip scrubs do you have in comparison with your collection of lipsticks?
My answer? Lip scrub = 1%, Lip colors = 99%!
