So here I am sitting in front of a box of Talley's Greenshell Mussels wondering what I'm going to do with it. I'm used to just boiling fresh mussels straight from the market with loads of ginger and they'll taste perfect the way it was.
But there are days I want to just put them inside the oven and bake them! What to do when you have a family member not into cheese? A more subtle cheesy baked mussels!
Ingredients:
- Fresh mussles or purchase a box of Talley's Greenshell Mussels from supermarket (very yummy!)
- Chopped garlic
- Olive Oil
- Quick melt cheese
- Chop a good amount of garlic (the more the better if you are into garlicky dishes). Add a hefty amount of Olive Oil. (You may opt to add melted butter if you are into butter)
- Pile the half-cooked mussels on a baking pan. With a teaspoon, pour in the garlic x olive oil mixture one shell at a time.
- top with quick melt cheese of choice. This is quite salty so I skipped adding salt.
- Preheat oven at least 350 degrees fahrenheit. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese melts and gets "brown and toasty".
Quick and easy dish on days you just want to sit and relax!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
I showed to the this to Mom and she tried to recreate it and she adds crushed chili because we're all into spicy and everyone is silent during lunch and we even bought rice from our neighbor because we ran out of rice.
