Weekend Food Trip at: Blue Rocket Cafe + Kitchen

I dine out a lot!  Not because I'm lazy to cook but that's how I bond with my parents and my parents-in-law!  Because I tend to eat out a lot especially on weekends, I am actually very aggressive in searching for new restaurants! (Hello Booky, Zomato, Munchpunch, etc...!)

When I got o my parents' place, I usually search for restaurants either Manila area or Quezon City.  One restaurant that caught my attention is called Blue Rocket Cafe + Kitchen located at Diliman QC.

Why this place?  Well, whenever I'm with my mom and dad, I want to make sure the place is not crowded, spacious enough for my dad's wheelchair and quiet enough for us to catch up!

Blue Rocket Cafe + Kitchen fits the bill!

Chicken Wings
Php195.00
You can choose between Spicy Buffalo, Salt and Pepper, Pesto Parmesan and Honey Garlic and we went for the latter because it's the safest and my parents aren't into spicy food!  This is a crunchy chicken wing that is quite flavorful and tender on the inside.

Baked Spicy Korean Chicken Rice
Php265.00
Spicy and sweet Korean-seasoned rice topped with chicken thighs and melted cheese.  The rice itself is extremely flavorful yet spicy!  I actually enjoyed this dish so much I went for...

the exact same order on my 2nd visit.

Honey Garlic Pork Belly
Php225.00
If you are into liempo, and you want them crispy with a twist!  Go for this!  It is drizzled in the same honey garlic glaze that I mentioned above (chicken wings).

BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Php345.00
Sweet and smoky pork ribs that reminds me so much of the yummy Baby Back Ribs from the known restaurant during the early 2000s (AKU --- anyone of you remember?)  This is definitely heart and tummy warming and spells Homecooked dish all over!

Torched Shrimp Tempura Rice
Php255.00
My mom seldom orders seafood and I highly recommended her to try this for a change.  The shrimps are beer battered, quite huge and fresh.  Very flavorful but if you prefer your shrimps simple, ask for sauce on the side.

Foiled Salmon in Lemon Butter Sauce
Php450.00
200g worth of Norwegian salmon baked in foil making this dish extremely flavorful and juicy!  The lemon sauce gives a nice "kick" to the dish and my dad loves this.

And of course, when you dine with AMW, you'll definitely see a cup of coffee.  One of the best Latte I've tried!  Pick your choice of flavor from Mocha, Hazelnut, Roasted Almond, French Vanilla, White Chocolate or Caramel.  Defintely a Coffee-haven.

And if you think the weather's too warm for you to drink hot coffee, go for Mocha Milkshake which includes 2 shots of expresso, ice cream and chocolate.  YUMMY!

Overall, this is a great family, barkada and date place!  The place is Instagram-worthy in EVERY corner and I like how spacious it is!  Just like any cafe-restaurant, you will see random students studying or some meetings going on but definitely a very nice ambiance just to catch up with friends and loved ones.
