Biore Micellar Cleansing Water Moist Up Review

I love makeup removal, I immediately remove my makeup whenever I get home and since I came from a Chinese family who are mostly serious about not washing your face when you're tired, Micellar Waters are heaven-sent because I can immediately remove my makeup without water!  (Note: I still wash my face after because I love double cleansing!)

Because of that, Micellar waters are a staple on makeup removal routine.  I have finished up various brands and tried both inexpensive and expensive brands!

Today, I will be sharing a review on one of the most positively-reviewed brand called Biore!  It comes with 2 variants --- Oil Control and Moist Up.  I obviously chose the latter because I have dry skin!

If I may have to add, thank you to BRANDS who make skincare products meant for different skin types!  We LOVE you for that!

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water Moist Up Says ---

A refreshing, non-wash cleansing water that brightens and protects skin

Gentle makeup remover washes away stubborn makeup with minimal tugging on the skin; hydrates, softens, and smoothens dry skin types; formulated with antibacterial properties to help prevent pimples and breakouts; minimizes the appearance of pores for a clearer, more refined look; made with watery micellar technology that can dissolve and lift off all traces of makeup including waterproof mascara and eyeliner; thoroughly yet gently purifies the face; cleanses skin without leaving a sticky feeling; infused with natural mineral water from the Japanese Alps that is suitable for sensitive skin; free from alcohol, oil, fragrance, and colorants; allergy and ophthalmologist tested, non-comedogenic

AMW says ---

Pros
  • Packaging.  Clear so you can see the remaining product plus the pump works fine.
  • Removes almost all traces of makeup!  For a micellar water, ALMOST all traces is good enough!  It can even remove some waterproof eyeliner and mascara!
  • Non-greasy.
  • Very gentle, does not sting the eyes.
  • I don't need to rub the product hard for it to work!
  • Fragrance-free, colorant-free, alcohol-free
  • Gives me the clean feeling but non-drying.

Cons

  • There could be still some hard-to-remove makeup left!  (Ex. Eyeliner, mascara)

Overall
An effective oil-free, alcohol-free cleanser that works even for users with sensitive skin and eyes.

Tips

  • Use cotton pad instead of cotton balls as cotton balls tend to soak up more product.
  • Leave for around 5-10 seconds on areas with waterproof makeup.
  • Can also be used to remove stubborn lip products.  (Please keep in mind to wash with water to make sure not to eat the product).
  • If you have extremely sensitive eyes, I highly recommend to use a separate eye makeup remover meant for sensitive eyes.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Moist Up variant is for users with normal or dry, sensitive skin.

Where to purchase and how much?
Available in Watsons nationwide priced at Php460.00 for 300ml.

My favorite cotton pad will always be from Nippon Esthetic and I use it to dip the Micellar Water with eyes closed for a couple of seconds before I gently massage and remove the cotton.

One eye makeup removed!  It does remove mascara and some liquid eyeliner (waterproof).  As much as I would like to go "deeper", I prefer to remove the "tightlined" eye makeup with eye make up remover meant for sensitive skin and eyes.

Half Face Test
Almost all traces of makeup gone!  Except my eyeliner that is close to my lashline.

Have you tried any makeup remover from Biore?

If you are a heavy makeup user, feel free to pick the variant that comes with Oil.  :)
