I've known Kiehl's since their sought after Lip Balm ---> which I got in Hong Kong way before they arrived here. Then next favorite product from the brand is their Midnight Recovery Concentrate and I've finished approxiately 3-4 bottles as of date!
The brand is out there, I know they make good skincare but I don't really get to test all their products because I have the tendency to be "Loyal" to whatever works for me.
But recently, due to stress and weather condition, my skin is looking and feeling totally different from how it was for the past years. I find myself confused and a bit alarmed that I don't seem to know my skin that much anymore!
When I saw a bunch of Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Brightening products on my table, I gave it a use for once or twice a week, inserting them in between my "usuals". So whatever information I'll be sharing to you are mostly "experiential basis", I will talk about the feel, the texture and the immediate effect. Do not expect a detailed review on these products because that's how I review skincare products, it really takes time because I need to insert new ones one at a time.
Comprende? :D
Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Brightening & Exfoliating Daily Cleanser
Php1,450.00
Php1,450.00
This exfoliating face wash gently purifies skin and helps remove dirt and environmental pollutants while visibly improving overall clarity. Infused with White Birch Extract and Peony Extract, this formula gently removes dirt, oil and pollution. Formulated with Pearlstone, a natural exfoliant, this skin brightening face wash smoothes and refines the feeling of skin for a more radiant appearance. Help clarify and visibly brighten skin with our purifying cleanser, gentle enough for use twice per day.
The texture of the product is similar to CURE (if you are aware of this exfoliator). It has the same clear, gel-like consistency but less textured as most exfoliators! I appreciate it that I don't feel the product harshly against my skin but, it has a tendency to leave dry areas of my face a bit drier than usual. So what I do is to use this mostly on areas of my face that is "normal" or "oily" and use the least amount on areas that is already dry.
So far, using this does not give me allergic reactions, I only need to follow through with a good moisturizer.
Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Brightening and Soothing Treatment Water

With a lightweight texture, our gentle skin brightening treatment water with Illuminating Minerals provides soothing hydration while giving skin a soft glow. This preparation helps to visibly brighten skin and diminish dullness for improved skin clarity. Infused with Licorice Root, this gentle formula visibly smoothes and refines skin texture for enhanced clarity.
This is my favorite from the bunch. I like how it feels like water yet it hydrates and soothes the skin almost immediately! This reminds me so much of my favorite Laneige Clear-C Advanced Effector. And since Laneige is not around the country anymore, I'm glad to have found another favorite replacement.
This is the only product out of the 3 that I diligently apply day and night for 5 full days and I like how brighter my skin look.
Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
Php2,995.00
Php2,995.00
This highly-efficacious facial serum brightens and clarifies skin for increased radiance. Over time, it diminishes the number and intensity of even deep-set dark spots and skin discolorations.
I don't have dark spots so I don't think I need this product more than my Mom-In-Law, I gifted this to my mommy to help lighten up spots around her face (freckles and sun spots).
As a makeup artist, I've used this bottle in the past to mix with foundation for my clients who have dark spots on their faces! It also helps create a smoother consistency for the foundation especially for those who are oily on the outside yet dry on the skin itself.
Have you tried Kiehl's Skincare?
Do you have a favorite line you wanna share and do tell me your skin type!
