Cathy Doll Oh! So Clean 2 in 1 Makeup Cleansing Micellar Essence Review

Having good skin starts with cleansing, no matter how expensive your skincare products are, if you don't remove your  makeup thoroughly at night before going to sleep, you will definitely wake up with zits here and there.

I've tried almost all makeup cleansing products, from Cleansing Oils to Cleansing Foams and now Micellar Water --- the latter is my favorite by far because it does not leave greasy feel yet it removes makeup like a tough dishwashing liquid *laughs* (Don't use dishwashing liquid on the face okay?)

Micellar Water used to be very expensive, thankfully, more and more drugstore brands are coming out with their own Micellar water and one of my favorite brand Cathy Doll came out with one and yours truly have to test them out of course!

I love the packaging, one pack comes with a cute 75ml bottle with free cotton pads!
I am a firm believer of using CLEANSING pads to remove makeup and cotton balls and q-tips are best for spot cleansing!

I know most brands call this Micellar Water but Cathy Doll calls this a Micellar Essence!  They don't feel any different with other Micellar Water brands when we talk about the product texture and consistency.  It has the same water-like feel like those from different brands.

I always start by cleansing my eye makeup first using one side of the cotton pad.  (Note: The free cotton pad is actually very good quality and does not wear and tear easily!)

I apply 4-5 drops and spread it evenly on the cotton pad, leave the product as shown on photo below for a minute or so...

The best way is to gently wipe off downwards to remove mascara better.  Since I don't have mascara on, I gently go through the pad in a horizontal motion as seen on photo making sure to to rub hard!

Cathy Doll Oh! So Clean can remove the following ---

  • All base makeup.
  • Eyebrow products.
  • Eyeshadow
  • 75%-80% of Waterproof eyeliner.
  • Waterproof mascara except those hardcore ones like that from Etude House!
  • Blush
  • Liquid Matte Lipsticks except Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink which is one of the most difficult lip product to remove as of date!

Thankfully, this product does not blur out my vision and does not give me that stinging sensation.  This is indeed very gentle for both my eyes and the rest of my face and lips.  It does not leave any greasy feel so this is a perfect makeup remover even for Professional Makeup Artists as I can remove mistakes and re-apply makeup without having a hard time.

I also like the packaging, it is very sturdy and does not spill because of the tight cap.  I like how cute it looks and it is indeed a perfect travel-partner for me!
