Honestly speaking, when I first saw Dr. PawPaw during an event, I was thinking on top of my head: "Is this a brand trying hard to be THE LUCAS PAPAW OINTMENT?"

Everybody loves Lucas Papaw, even influencers and actresses, but honestly speaking, I have loads of backups tube after tubes not for me, but for Kyle!  It is the best cream for insect bites and itchiness --- Kyle fondly calls it the Magical Cream.

But, I never enjoy Papaw on my lips, I find the texture to be inconsistent (it gets waxy and hard if stored in cooler room, watery when hot!)  I also dislike the flavor on my lips (personal opinon).  So when I gave Dr. PawPaw a try amidst thinking this is a wannabe dupe to the well-known Lucas Papaw.  I never looked back and actually call this my lipcare staple both day and night!

Dr. PawPaw is a multi-purpose balm (can be used on lips, skin, heels, nails and even hair!).  But again, I haven't tried this on different usage because it worked so well on my lips I don't want to use this in other ways!

These balms come in three variations: Original, Peach and Red.

For review, I got Original and I also have Red on the side, I may review it separately but let's focus on the Original version first.

AMW says ---

  • Packaging is perfect and very convenient to use.  I love how this tip is slanted so easier to apply on lips.
  • Odourless.
  • Right consistency no matter what the temperature of the room is.
  • Works really well on my lips, similar to Guerlain Super Lips (I love the Guerlain so much!) imagine the price difference!  This can be a Splurge vs Save entry!
  • I actually tried a little amount on my heels before I go to bed, it is effective in a sense that my heels do not look as dry the next day.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Does soothe dry lips and I can actually wear liquid matte lipsticks more often than before.
