Cloud Cosmetics Minty Matte Stick Rouge Review

Hello Monday!
Let's get back to the basics shall we?

Do you still remember your first tinted lip balm as a kid and you feel like a princess whenever you swipe it on your lips showing a bit of that lovely color?

Well, I kind of had that flashback when I first laid my eyes on the Cloud Cosmetics Minty Matte Stick Rouge, though I was transported back to childhood days, I came right back to the future after my first swipe.

What is this really?
A tinted lip balm?  A lip balm? Or Lipstick?

LIP BALM BUT BETTER.MMSR is a super pigmented lip balm with a supreme matte finish and powdery feel texture. It is long-wearing, smudge-resistant, no-shine, water-proof, minty stick. Think of it as the hybrid of a lipbalm and a liquid matte lipstick. Made with clean, healthy ingredients, MMSR is cruelty-free and paraben-free.

They offer 6 shades in total and I got 2 shades, thankfully, both shades work for me!

Bourbon Peach
My MLBB shade!  This is actually a super favorite of mine I can't believe I blogged this before (As Eden's Paradise) and here I go talking about this again!

Cookie Peach
Is another winner shade for me as I have always been into brownish reds and brownish pinks!  This works for me whenever I'm too lazy in makeup application.  This gives an instant warmth and color on my face and I love the fact that it doesn't make my teeth yellow.

Color wise, I have nothing to say about these because these are amazing and works for all skin tones!
Now, my only issue is the texture, keep in mind that I have EXTREMELY dry and parched lips so don't take my word for it, I am just part of the minority where my lips really needed hydration almost every hour of my life!  Since this product is free from harmful chemicals, it is but expected that the product does not apply as smoothly as other branded makeup.  I appreciate the fact that these are cruelty-free and paraben-free so I can dismiss the fact that it leaves dry patches on my lips after application and a bit of "pulling" happens on every application!

How to deal with such since I love the colors so much?  I heavily hydrate my lips with a trusted lip balm several minutes before application, blot off excess with a clean napkin and apply using DABBING motion instead of swiping motion.  Once I get a good amount of pigment, I like to gently run through my fingers to even out the pigment and if it gets dry, I put lip balm on my finger tips and dab more to retain moisture.

That's it!  Just some extra step for products that are cruelty-free with colors that scream "I'm naturally gorgeous like that!"

How do you like both shades?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
