SilkyGirl Magic BB Cushion Review

Silkygirl is an inexpensive makeup brand that actually impressed me!  Their Silkygirl MatteJunkie Lip Cream  is actually part of my Top 5 favorite inexpensive liquid matte lipsticks to date.  Aside from that, I was impressed with with the lightweight, great texture of the SilkyGirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation and thankfully they came up with a couple of shades to choose from.  If you're a powder user, you may look into Silkygirl Magic BB All-In-One Powder foundation which I also reviewed.

Then came their newest product called Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF50/PA+++ which gor the most request for review when I posted an IG contest for the said brand.

Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion
Php675.00
Shades: 01 Natural Light, and 02 Natural Medium

This BB Cushion is enriched with beneficial key ingredients like Skin Light Complex, Eldelweiss Extract and it is rich in mineral water to keep skin looking fresh and youthful to make you stand out. Dap on this BB Cushion and tap-tap on skin for medium to high coverage.
• 12-hour Oil-Control • Fragrance-free • SPF50/PA+++ • Formulated for Asian Skin

The product comes with a box and product description and I got 02 Natural Medium which is a better match for me as compared to Natural Light.

Housed in a typical BB Cushion packaging, you get  a sturdy packaging with a sponge and nice mirror.

The product isn't fully saturated as compared to other brands I've tried but you an get an ample amount with just a soft press.

When it comes to cushion, the best way to apply will always be quick dabbing motion, you have to work fast to create a seamless finish as the product dries off demi-matte.  I'd say demi-matte because it has a hint of glow.

Before and After
02 Natural Medium is still a bit light on me and gives off a grayish cash.  The shade would work better on cool-toned girls and I would say, it is nice to know as there are a lot of options for warm complexion but only a few for cool-tones!

Judging the shade match aside, let me talk about the product itself:

  • Applies well really sooth and dries off evenly.
  • Skin feels hydrated all through the day without enhancing my dry patches.
  • Comes with SPF50 so I think that explains the strange gray/white cast.
  • Can be worn alone if you have normal/dry skin.
  • Needs to be set if used by oily skin users.
  • Coverage is light to medium.
  • Can turn grayish because of high spf and can create white cast on photos.  But not an issue if you set with a face powder that matches your skin tone.
  • Lightweight, no heavy and greasy feel.
  • Inexpensive for the quality.
Overall, I love the product and wished they would come up with more shade choices in the future!
