Paskong Pinoy celebrations with Max's Corner Bakery and Max's Restaurant

There are days I am so tired to cook, but those were also the days that I want to eat homecooked meals.  A dish that warms my tummy and heart.

Thankfully, one of my favorite restaurant Max's Restaurant came up with their Paskong Pinoy dishes!  Together with Max's Corner Bakery, they created new dishes with a special twist to uplift our holiday spirit making intimate family meals more precious than ever!

Paskong Pinoy celebrations with us as we launch our Bulalo Specials and Pinoy Holiday Cheesecakes!

Savor the saucy goodness of Max’s Calderetang Bulalo – a lavish fusion of two of your favorite Filipino dishes in one, made with a rich tomato-based beef shank stew with boiled vegetables and topped with melted cheese and sautéed peppers. Looking for something with a little more sizzle? Then try the irresistible Sizzling Bulalo from Max’s with its tender beef shank lathered in rich and savory gravy, and sprinkled with crispy fried garlic. Starting at Php549.00, these new dishes are available for dine-in, take-out, and delivery.

Delight your senses with the Puto Bumbong Cheesecake from Max’s Corner Bakery – a special take on the classic Simbang Gabi kakanin made with glutinous rice flour with ube flavor, smooth and silky cheesecake, and topped with ube crumbs, coconut, and muscovado sugar. Also, coming back to town for the holidays is the Bibingka Cheesecake, made with soft and fluffy vanilla chiffon, smooth and silky cheesecake, and topped with salted egg slices. These Pinoy Holiday Cheesecakes are available for dine-in, take-out, and delivery starting at Php289.00.

I personally dislike dishes that came up with a twist.  When I crave for Caldereta, I would like to taste real Caldereta my grandmother would cook.  If I want Bibingka, I want Bibingka I've eaten since I was a kid.

With the changes Max's Restaurant and Max's Corner Bakery made, I was actually surprised how easily I welcome these changes!

Their Calderetang Bulalo contains the usual Caldereta vegetables but I find the sauce on the cheesier side than on the tomato based side.  Yes, it is still tomato based but I find it more creamier than usual which is okay since I love cheeses.

Baka Naman honestly looked like Arroz Caldo in terms of texture and sight but it was a great surprise to taste Bulalo dish with GRAVY! The beef is super tender and even my son enjoyed this dish a lot!

Both Bibingka and Puto Bumbong Cheesecake won my heart!  It has the right amount of chiffon and cheese cake topped with our favorite Pinoy Pasko Desserts!  You have to try both  I swear before they stop selling these!
