AH CATHY DOLL....
When will you stop creating cute and nice products? I guess you won’t huh?
I guess the brand is somewhat important to me because I hosted their grand launch in the Philippines years ago and I was able to visit Karmart Office in Bangkok, Thailand.
No bias here, I am still a product tester/Beauty Blogger so I will still share my honest to goodness reaction to their products. But seriously, this is one drugstore brand that I highly recommend because their products are packaged well and quality is really good for the price you pay.
I was able to try their newest blush called NUDE MATTE BLUSHER and you can see in this collage that they look really nice huh? Or was it just me? Hahaha
Cathy Doll Nude Matte Blusher
Php329.00
Pink Idol, Sassy Girl and Sandy
04 Pink Idol, 05 Sassy Girl and 08 Sandy
This is very pink on swatch but once worn on a very warm skin tone, (that’s me), it appears coral! Can you see that? I love how blushers look different on every single skin tone so please do not judge a blush only by pan!
Pink Idol reminds me of KPOP Idols and this is a perfect blush for it fair to medium complexion. Darker complexion may have to apply more for this to show up but the effect will always be warm like this!
Sassy Girl is a whole new level in person! It looks extremely natural on photos but you are extremely blushing in person! You really need to apply with lighthand as this is very pigmented.
AMW wears 08 Sandy
Since I am forever an orange/peach colored blush, I am obviously leaning on to Sandy as my top shade amongst the 3. But truth be told, all 3 have special characteriestics and effect. If you have warm complexion and wanted somewhat a warm, sunkissed look, go for this! Sandy is very natural and warm but once used by a cool toned gal, this would give off a stronger statement.
While you are still thinking about my question, I’ll give you a brief overview on what I have to say about Cathy Doll’s newest blush, they are HIGHLY pigmented so a little goes a long way. Most pigmented drugstore blushers are very powdery, not the case for Cathy Doll. They apply like a dream, transfers from brush to your cheeks without fallouts and best of all, for a matte blusher, it does not look dull on my cheeks. It has a nice satin-y finish my skin is actually glowing.
Let’s talk about longevity, upon posting on IGTV, I got DMs asking me how long will this powdered blush stay. I actually wore this the WHOLE day with a super busy day - cooking (2-3x in a hot kitchen), workout, bathe my son, wash dishes, etc....
NOT GONNA LIE my blush won’t look like that on the photo because my whole face was perspiring! BUT...the blush is there! Not as fresh as freshly applied but the blush stayed! By end of the day (nighttime around 12 hour wear) I still get a good amount of blush color on my cheeks - around 30% of what was applied in the morning) which isn’t bad!
So for the price you spend and the amount of product you get? (I have a feeling it’ll take a a year to finish this pan! OR MORE!). THIS IS WORTH IT! GO BUY AT LEAST ONE!
So which shade is your favorite?
COME ON! SPILL IT!
