LUMOS RAY Projector Review

A fact I haven't shared to anybody and I am sharing today.

The last time I went out to watch a movie at a movie house was more than 9 years ago!  YES!  9 years!  I remembered having morning sickness inside the movie house but I had to pull myself together because I love Liam Neeson so much in Taken I had to watch the sequel by hook or by crook!

Don't give me that sad look, I chose not to watch movies at theaters because I prefer to spend time with my family on weekends as I have a very busy schedule on weekdays I'd rather spend quiet and quality time at home.

That said, my love for watching movies at home via Netflix started years before pandemic started.  I remembered having a conversation with my husband wishing to have a home-theater-like screen or TV and that idea was swept on the side as most projectors are bulky and let's not talk about the price!

Fast forward to today, my dream came true when I got myself a LUMOS RAYT Projector!

Affordability may be the number 1 factor to some in investing on a nice home cinema but for me, aside from the fact that LUMOS RAY projectors are inexpensive, there are some key points that made me love this more!

  • Premium & Elegant Look – aside from being cute, lightweight and handy.  I love the color and the minimalistic & sleek look.  I personally do not like an object displayed in my room that looks "out of place".  The color and design, I would imagine goes really well in most homes!
  • Ease of use - for someone who is not very "techie", I find the Plug & Play feature of LUMOS RAY Projector as another WIN!  I dislike fumbling through instruction manuals and I know, we all shouldn't do that, but I was able to turn this projector on and use it immediately!

By the way, the back side has clear indication of what each port are used for.  From Left to Right.

IR (Infrared) for the remote control access
Headphone jack
AV (Audio Video Jack)
HDMI Port - for video out
USB - so I can easily watch movies or play photo slide shows.
TF (SD Card)  - to add storage.

  • Can Plug and Play anywhere - imagine you can watch anywhere with a blank wall space, or you can "up" your home cinema game by purchasing a projector screen.
  • Great visual Clarity - I am really amazed how clear it is to watch my favorite movies or shows!  my eyes do not squint as much especially since I love watching Korean Movies and Dramas with subtitles!  Aside from clarity, I would also like to add the vivid colors!  I am amazed!!!

  • Inbuilt Netflix+ YouTube - 'nuff said.  But, if you want something more....
  • Wireless Mirror Casting - this is my super favorite feature, I can easy watch my favorite online concerts from a different site (Hello BTS!)  and I simply need to open the inbuilt Air Screen app & connect via Wi-Fi to mirror smartphone. I have yet to try to play mobile games or attend Zoom call over a huge screen!
  • Great sounds! - The inbuilt Dolby Audio gave off a super nice sound system I was actually surprised!  I can even use the same to just listen to my favorite music via Spotify!  And another tip?  Use wireless bluetooth earphone if you want some "me time" at night without disturbing anybody!
