Maybelline SuperStay Vinyl Mood and Eccentric

How does one show their mood without speaking?
Through makeup of course! But the most obvious mood maker would be lipstick --- and easiest!

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink until this very moment, for me, is still the QUEEN of Long-wearing Lipstick! They have released so many collaborations after my first review but I personally think they are all the same --- change of packaging, same shades and formulation.

I have seen a couple more collabs that I didn't get my hands on but like I said, it wasn't that of a choice for me since my lips are extremely dry and those types of formulations just won't work for me.

Recently, Maybelline came up with their SuperStay VINYL Lipsticks and I think these works better for me. NOT THE BEST but way better than SuperStay Mattes.

I got my hands on 2 shades.

Mood and Eccentric

These lipsticks are said to be budge-proof, comfortable-feel, high shine and lasts up to 16 hours. I don't know about 16 hours *Spoiler Alert* as I didn't get to try them this long but max for me was around 6-8 hours so keep that in mind in my review up next.

Mood is a cool-tone brown shade that works for Morenas or people with darker complexion. This would be a great MLBB shade for them. As for me who has warm undertone with fairer complexion, this looks quite Photogenic but I look sick in person.

AMW Wears: Eccentric

Eccentric is beautiful! This shade is close to Magenta but more of a PINK than reddish pink. It has warmer tone that complements my skin.

After testing these 2 shades for months. I can finally say I am choosing VINYL over MATTE anytime of the day! Since these are high shine, the formulation does not look dry on my already dry lips instead, my lips look healthier even though it felt like crap hours after. Yes, it is still drying on my especially after several hours but I can't blame the brand for that - EVERY SINGLE LONG-WEARING Lipsticks in this entire universe WILL definitely dry out an already dry / parched lips so do not set the bar too high on that!

It is very important to hydrate your lips in between the day especially if you are wearing long lasting lipsticks.

I do trust the Long-wearing, drink and eating proof claim! There will be some transfers of course but I like how the color stayed until removal! My lips does not feather and I do not have patches of bare areas!

Comfort aside, I would totally use these if I still do professional Bridal Makeups and probably prep the lips well before application. I will also pack an extra lip moisturizer for Brides for retouch because this is definitely a long-wearing, non-smudging lip product worth the mention!
