Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass Drink - a hidden gem

I don't know about you but I crave for flavored drinks since the moment I wake up.

It always starts with Coffee, Tea for brunch, and juices and any cold drinks in the afternoon until the evening.  Ah, I wish I'd call myself healthy, I try to eat healthily but unhealthy drinks are ruining my diet!

Thankful I found Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass  during pandemic.  It started out me looking for drinks that would keep me safe from the virus!  When we hear the word Wheatgrass, we immediately had this "yuck" sound on top of our head.  I have to admit it, I was flinching when I first poured the powder in a cold glass of water thinking it is the end of the world! *laughs*

Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass Drink review

Who would've thought a health drink turned into a drink that I truly enjoy?  Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass in Lemon and Honey are both my favorite!  Even the original flavor isn't bad, but since I love flavored drinks, I chose Lemon and my husband loves Honey!  I honestly look forward to have a nice drink before I eat my breakfast!

We moms have to admit that because of our busy schedule, I ended up skipping breakfast a lot of times!  Or eat late.  I have stomach ulcer and a glass helped me power up through the morning.  (Note: This is not in exchange of breakfast, be careful and check with your doctor if you are unsure.)

My mom-in-law, who's also into healthy lifestyle includes Easy Pha-Max wheatgrass as part of her daily routine!  I can't blame her, it is delicious!  You have to trust me for it!

The Fun Way to Take Your Vitamins with Wellspring!

Who likes taking their vitamins?

I am definitely NOT raising my hands.  I am one of those laziest person you can find to take vitamins as I find some multivitamins to be too big and too smelly!

Yeah, I am such a big baby, I shouldn’t complain but that’s me being honest here! So when I was introduced to a fun way to take vitamins by my good friend, I can’t say no of course!  Who does not like better ways to take vitamins?  Even as an ADULT?  COUNT ME IN!

The Fun Way to Take Your Vitamins with Wellspring

Wellspring can help me in so many ways since it is in gummy format, I can easily plop a supplement in my mouth as I continue to do household chores!  Even without water!  Best of all?  It tastes good!  And Wellspring has 5 variants to choose from: Daily Immunity, Melatonin, Collagen, Biotin and Apple Cider.

The Fun Way to Take Your Vitamins with Wellspring

If like me you want to make sure to be reminded that these are NOT candies and are to be taken as real vitamins, check out the right dosage on how to take these vitamins!

And just in case you wonder, the Gummy Melatonin can actually be taken by kids 4 years and up!

The Fun Way to Take Your Vitamins with Wellspring

I personally started taking Wellspring Collagen since I just finished the previous brand I was taking (What good timing!).  I am also taking Biotin since these can help get better hair, skin and nails and I am having issues with my weak nails nowadays!  Aside from that, my husband and I are taking Daily Immunity for our daily Vitamin C and Zinc needs!  I gave Melatonin to my parents and Apple Cider for weigh management since the doctor advised them to lessen weight due to blood pressure.  I made sure they got approval from their doctor and so far, they did!

Recogen Collagen Drink

Call me hardworking in a lot of things but I accept calling me Lazy when it comes to drinking my vitamins or taking my health supplements.

I only got a change of heart during the start of Lockdown due to COVID-19.

I have been working from home for so many years but busy going in and out of home to send my son to and from school, attend events, work as a professional skincare and makeup trainer to going for meetings with clients for my PR work!

Not only that, I was able to squeeze in workout time at the gym for the past 2 years doing Muay Thai, Boxing and HIIT training.

The lockdown shook my world.  I got stressed, my body settled to a potato couch life and I felt a lot of pains from a simple task like housework!

I honestly lost the interest to move forward for the next 3 months after lockdown.  Thankfully, with the help of my son and husband plus the happiness of creating content online and my regular job, I was able to jump back to my normal self but the “workout” side didn’t really thrive.

For the year 2021, I vouched to get back to more workouts!  Not just short lazy workouts but workout that really shoot my heart rate up!  And with that, I am more open to take supplements.  Thankfully, I was introduced to RECOGEN.

Recogen is a collagen powdered drink that aims to help restore and maintain healthy joints while doing mobility exercises,, regenerate cartilage and collagen in the joints in a safe and natural way.

This can be taken daily and results may vary with individuals but difference can be felt within 48 weeks.

Recogen contains 100-percent pure and Short Bioactive Collagen Peptides (BCP) from Germany.  Collagen peptide are amino acids that provide structure to the body’s bones, skin, tendons and ligaments that is naturally produced by the body to connect our joints.  This can also help contribute to imrpoving skin elasticity and join health including development of muscle mass and growth.

So I have tried this on various drinks for a week and loving how this can be easily dissolved in drinks.  This product is odorless and tasteless and thankfully, NO SUGAR added so it never sweetened my drinks (I don’t add sugar on my drinks btw!).

Though I am a coffee drinker, it is best not to dissolve Recogen on caffeine drinks like Coffee and Tea instead, I like to mix it with just regular water or milk!

Recogen is distributed in the Philippines by Dyna Drug Corporation and available at goodwill.market/ for Php.2,900 for 30 sachets. For more information about Recogen, Dyna Drug Corp. and its other products, visit www.dynadrug.com.

Lactezin: An Anti-Acne Solution

I had acne at the age of 16 until 18.  Yes, those vital teenage years where I start to have crushes and go on dates!  I know!  Too early right?  Well, I met my ultimate crush (now husband Mr. AMW) back in elementary but developed a crush on him during my Senior year.  We started out as seatmates turned super close friend to my ultimate crush.

That was also the time I started to experience acne and I was getting more and more self-conscious.  I remembered my mom, being the supportive mom as she always was, would accompany me to a dermatologist as my acne was starting to flare up on cheeks, forhead and chin!  She felt as sad as I was.

Then I strongly remembered the dermatologist advising me to take Vitamin E together with some topical creams.  On top of my head: “What does Vitamin E has to do with it?  Aren’t Vitamin E supplements supposed to be taken by older women?”

That was how clueless I was but completely understandable considering we don’t have much access to details on Vitamins on both books and internet.

Fast-forward to today, I am lucky I don’t have to type about Acne as much on this blog as my skin is not acne-prone like before.  But, my husband, on the other hand is a late-bloomer, at this day and age, he still suffers from constant breakouts so I am actually open to accept anti-acne supplements to let him try and ease his worries (supportive wife here, just like my supportive mom!) .

I recently accepted to try a brand called Lactezin.

Lactezin is a clinically-tested over-the-counter drug, which uses a natural antibacterial active ingredient Lactoferrin combined with Vitamin E and Zinc to help lessen pimples and give clear skin in as early as 2 weeks when taken 2x daily.

Key ingredient -

Lactezin Anti-Acne Ingredients

Vitamin E.  Vitamin E is a nutrient that was suggested to me by a Dermatologist years ago as this can help maintain healthy skin cells by fightling free radical damage.  It can help retain moisture in the skin thus preventing dryness - I agree that dryness is one major enemy when it comes to acne.  People who have acne-prone skin usually steer clear from using moisturizers or skincare products thus skin turns drier than usual. And because of treatment, the skin tends to peel and be very sensitive to sunlight!  And the good news is, Vitamin E can protect skin against UV radiation.

Lactezin also contains Zinc, Zinc can help maintain a healthy immune system andpromotes wound healing and repair of damaged tissues.  Zinc’s antioxidant and oil-regulating properties helps improve skin appearance.

Lastly, each Lactezin tablet contains Lactoferrin (around 100mg), this ingredient is quite new to me so I’ve done several research before letting my husband take this capsule.

Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein that has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which can help the body’s natural defenses to fight bacteria. I like that this can help reduce sebum and can help repair damaged skin cells!

Aside from that, based from some studies, there are more health benefits in taking Lactoferrin aside from how it can help minimize acne and how it can also help skin cell renewal.  Based from 2014 report in the World Journey of Gastroenterology, researchers have found Lactoferrin to aid in the prevention of ulcer, this is good news as both my husband and I have sensitive stomach that is why we have some caution when taking supplements!

Pure Beauty Collagen Review

For someone who writes so much into beauty.  You would be surprised to know that I only recently welcome supplements like Collagen and Glutathione.

For some reason, I am scared to "change whatever works for me" which is funny because as a beauty/product review, I am required to test all these new stuff.

But I said NO so many times until lockdown.  After taking in more health supplements, I honestly saw some positive effects on doing so, so I explored on beauty-related supplements which did not fail me by the way!

Pure Beauty Collagen Drink Review

Let's talk about Collagen.  Are collagen drinks really effective?  What are the benefits?

Based from research, you can see some common keywords:

  1. Can improve skin's health,
  2. Increase collagen for the skin.
  3. Help relieve joint pain, boost muscle mass and prevent bone loss.
  4. Can help improve skin texture.
And so much more!

Rule of thumb, never take supplements for instant result!  I for once have this "patience" in waiting for result thus I find myself staying on the safe side!  There are some instant results that could be harmful for your health but of course, everything depends on you, and if unsure, always check with a doctor.

One thing for sure, we have been seeing the term "Collagen" in so many beauty products nowadays.  Collagen is a protein that keeps your tissues and bones together thus prevent "Sagging".  If you ask me if this can reverse aging, well, keep in mind that you have to consider many factors such as - genetics, environment, stress, and a whole lot more!

Taking collagen drinks or collagen infused skincare products may help give better elasticity and bounce for your skin thus slowing down the aging process but you have to consider about your diet as well!

Pure Beauty Advanced Collagen with Probiotics Beauty Repair Drink
2500 per box (10bottles total of 1Liter)
Dosage: 1bottle every other night

Pure Beauty Collagen Review

So recently, I actively drank Pure Beauty Collagen with Probiotics drink and it was the first brand I went serious with.  Serious meaning I took it regularly and I am finally understanding the craze!

I finished a box of 10 drink recently and I am surprised to see results!  Results that aren't too obvious but I know my skin/body well so I know it worked!

AMW says ---
  • Tastes good.  Best drank straight from fridge.
  • Skin looks glowing.
  • Skin is never dry even if I don't use lotions.
  • My fingers do not have as much pain compared to pre-drinking.  I have issues with my fingers ever since I gave birth and I think the Pure Beauty Collagen drink helped.
  • Everyone noticed my I look fresher.
  • The presence of Probiotics helped my regular upset tummy!  I have better digestion and better bowel movement (sorry TMI)
Overall, I am welcoming the presence of Collagen supplements and drinks in my life.  I just have to be careful in choosing the brand but so far, Pure Beauty Collagen from Japan worked for me.

Do you take Collagen drinks or supplements?
What other good brands can you recommend?
